At this time, I have been contacted directly by Patch Media Corporation regarding complaint ID *** however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Shortly after I filed my Revdex.com complaint, I was contacted by Peter D*** of the law firm of *** * *** about this
matter. Patch had engaged his firm and submitted to him that I owed the FULL BALANCE of the 12-month contract -- e*** though they had acknowledged my cancellation weeks into the contract and at first were pestering me about the cancellation fee only ($vs$4500+).This was clearly an escalation meant to intimidate me; MrD*** explicitly told me that Patch would have a "lawyer on contingency" while it would cost me "$an hour" to hire a lawyer of my own and fight this in court. This was his way to illustrate to me that it was not worth my trouble to fight it, and that I should just agree to pay the full 12-months' amount. [E*** THOUGH THEY HAD ALREADY ACKNOWLEDGED MY CANCELLATION!!!!]It turns out an invoice in this (larger) amount was sent to my office manager email address (NOT the address they used for all other correspondence); this was not initially seen as I no longer have a manager (since I am closing).I spoke at length with MrD*** and forwarded him several emails attesting to the facts above; someone from his firm named Jesse N*** quickly came back to me with the lower amount ($plus one month's payment that they did not receive in the mail, admitting their address was outdated on the invoice). We then exchanged several emails about settling on that amount. I made my original point that Patch had not delivered on (all) the contracted services, but received no accommodationI then stated that I would pay the $fee (plus outstanding month's fee) if Patch would promise in writing to never again contact or solicit me in any wayI have yet to get a response to that ....
