I am very sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with the service you have received. your brake pads did come with a lifetime warranty at any meineke service station nation wide.. The Wallingford shop is only miles from the meriden location and would more then happy to take care of
all your concerns the store managers name at Wallingford is Steve I will set up all the concerns with him \\ General Manager Robert D***

I am rejecting this response because: The Wallingford Meineke also has very bad reviews. Before receiving this response, I had already taken my vehicle to another mechanic. They had to install new hardware because the hardware on the pads were bent which happened during installation by Meineke.
The mechanic also had to oil my caliper slider pins because this was not done when the brakes were put in. Just slapping new pads where the old pads once resided never words. The slides and abutment clips should be cleaned and/or replaced.
At this moment, the sound has minimized due to the work that another mechanic did therefore, I am asking for a refund.

Review: I got my rear brakes done 10,000 miles earlier than I needed to avoid any damage to my rotors. After getting pads put in at Meineke, my vehicle started to make very LOUD squeaking sounds when braking. I brought it in a 2nd time & having to miss time from work again. When pulling my vehicle in, I heard a big bang and it was my rear view mirror that they banged because they couldn't get my SUV in right. They had to pull out and back in 3 times!

When they lifted my vehicle & took the tire off, they said my rotors needed to be replaced if I didn't want the sound. While they had my vehicle lifted, I looked at it & said it didn't need to be replaced so the mechanic said, you're right, then you just need it resurfaced. I went to the front desk where Ken, the manager was and asked why this wasn't brought to my attention when they put the pads in. His response, "You just came in for pads and that's what we gave you." I told him that I'm not a mechanic & he noticed something needed to be done, it should've been brought to my attention especially since when I picked it up, I asked if everything looked fine & they said yes.

They were not very nice at Meineke, was rude and could care less. I didn't want to spend another dollar there so I took it to another mechanic to get my rotors machined resurfaced. The mechanic informed me that the brake pads that were put in were low quality. After getting my rotors resurfaced per Meineke's suggestion, my car is still making the same loud squeaking sound. I brought it in fine and came out with it squeaking.Desired Settlement: I do not wish to go back to Meineke; very bad service and already have an appointment with an auto shop to replace the pads. I want a refund for the job that wasn't done. My vehicle is worse now than it was when I brought it in.

Review: I brought the car in because of a loud noise under the hood. I was told it was the idler pulley right away, then after further inspection, I was told my alternator was weak and needed to be replaced. I told the manager that was more than I afford right now could I wait to repair the alternator he didn't think I should wait,but but I wanted to the noise taken care of. He assured me that repairing the pulley would fix the noise. Reluctantly I agreed. Four hours later, I called to check the status and was told my car was ready. I come to pick up my car and the noise appears to be louder than before. He said Ooooo the noise is coming from the AC compressor, you need a new one. I was not happy and I asked why didn't I get a call when you discovered the problem was NOT the idler pulley, no response. I paid $704.00 and STILL have the same loud noise as before. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the Manager offered to buy me a bottle of wine. Which was insulting because I already felt as if was taken advantage of because of my gender.

I want the noise fixed at no charge to me. I had other options but chose Meineke because they were close to my job and it was convenient to have the repairs made while I worked.
