***On 11/ 28/ I spoke with *** the supervisor at Meridian International Movers, and informed her hat I had contacted the Revdex.com about the issue with their servicesShe stated that she didn't know where the furniture was and that I should not have contacted the Revdex.com because according to their policy they had days from my request to deliver my furniture I requested my furniture on 11/13/and had this conversation will her on 11/28/I informed her the contract had been breechedLong story short my furniture was delivered on 11/30/ 15. Some items were broke like a dryers hose , and two damaged file cabinets -one bent the other broke , and a broken lamp. The driver was rude and demanded that I give him $in cash before he unload my furniture so I wasn't able to assess the damageI would like $ 250 to cover the damages and for contractI was told that the originally told that the company have 3-days to deliver furniture after a request has been made

This company is the largest scam operator in the moving business. They have 3 names: Meridian International Movers, Meridian Moving Corp, First Florida Trucking. There are probably more depending on what state you live in and are moving to. They don't own their own trucks, they use is to pickup and deliver your goods, they PAY for the good reviews you see on their websites and they will block your phone if you keep calling to complain about their service. Plus they stole over aa $1000 worth of my property and damaged even more. I have reported them to the FMCSA, the FBI, the DOT, the DOT crime investigation unit and they will not settle my claim for $10,000. Never use any of those truckers listed or they will burn you too.

I give this company an F. If there was a choice lower than this then I would pick that. We had problems as soon as they got my money as a down payment. I will Never recommend them to anyone.
It’s such a long story but amusing…..from the sales lady Susan to the customer service Ester to the operations manager Leo it has been awful.
They overcharged us and we tried to get credit but they refuse to give it to us.
In Dec. 2015 I interviewed 4 companies and picked them as there was little overhead and the sales lady talked a good talk. I was impressed with the family atmosphere and the non outsourcing idea.
Dec. 28th was our pick up date. First thing the moving foreman states we have to pay 100.00 for tape. NO one told us this as I could’ve gotten tape from neighbors or Walmart cheaper. So I called Susan the sales lady and she tried to tell me to go to a store and get some tape then. OK I’m going to leave 3 movers alone in my home. Then she stated they didn’t have their clamps. Not sure why.
Movers then tell us we have to remove All the clothes from the dressers. Again NO one said 1 word about this. I call Susan again. She states she tells all her customers to do this. If she did tell me this then why did I have clothes in the dressers??? Not any of the companies I interviewed asked for clothes to be removed. Frantically my boyfriend unpacked all the clothes in to 15 boxes. Thank god we had extras or else they would have charged us for them.
We then asked the foreman to not charge us for these 15 but he stated he had to. I tried to call Susan for a 3rd time and she stated to call ester in customer service. I called both of these ladies 8 times today and left 4 voice mails to call me back ASAP and NO one got back to me at all when the movers were there (or even the next day).
So we ended up going over 1,600.00 in the estimate. I then pick a date for the goods to leave the warehouse-Dec. 29th. The foreman gives me the dispatch phone number and tells me to call anytime day or night. He didn’t mention 1 word about them being closed due to the holiday time.

We leave town Dec. 29th. I called dispatch a few times this week to see if our truck left. No answer every time. We break down on the evening of Dec. 31. I’m worried now that my truck may arrive in Florida before we do so I am calling and no reply. We make it to Florida on Jan. 1. I call dispatch yet again and a driver happens to answer since he recognized my number from the night before. Frantically I ask him if he knows if our stuff left. He tells me no, we were closed all week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said call back Jan. 4.
Jan 4 I call dispatch and the guy tells me it let at 3am. We also call ester in customer service this day and she can’t tell us anything since her computer is down. We asked for a refund for the 15 clothes boxes. She stated shed talk to the operation manager and CALL us back Tuesday. Tuesday comes and goes—no call from ester. We call her Wednesday. She states that our truck is not leaving until Jan. 8.?????? No word on the credit for the 15 clothes boxes. Jan. 8 we call the operations manager ourselves and he was rude and stated he couldn’t help us as we should’ve known that clothes had to be taken out. He then hung up on us.
The truck arrived. Jan. 11 at noon time. The unloading was smooth and the truck driver and unpacker were great.
The only good thing about this move was the guys who did the wrapping and unwrapping and the truck driver.
No one from meridian even called us to make sure we got our stuff and asked if we were satisfied.

I should have gone with my gut and cancelled my move with meridian after my first mishap of them sending me a new contract and charging me more right after I finished signing a contract but their manager was so nice that I decided to stay with them. Once my contract was signed my sales rep. [redacted] wouldn't even return my emails and I would have to call directly to talk to a manager which was odd. When the movers actually got to my destination they had my contract but has crossed out the amount I owed (which I had signed the contract for) and rewrote in the new amount which was about $30 more. I didn't sign for that amount, I shouldn't have to pay it. The owners reply? "Well people make mistakes" in addition to that I was told the elevator fee went right to the movers themselves when they arrived...yet when they got here the movers let me know that the company actually gets to keep the money for the elevator fee. The movers themselves were really nice and I liked them, however, they move for multiple other companies as well not just meridian like I had been told previously. The whole thing was a terrible experience and they do not value customer service at all. I would never wish them upon anyone else and I wish there would have been more reviews on them when I was looking for a vendor.
