This management company did the bare minimum as required by law and took advantage of every subjective part of the lease to steal most of my security deposit. I got termites in my carpet and the landlord took over 3 weeks to resolve while stating that it wasn't a health hazard and thus wasn't a big deal. I would send emails and leave voicemails but I only received a call back about half of the time. I left the place in better condition then when I found it but the landlord still charged me over $500 in cleaning and repairs despite my documentation to the contrary. If I had the means I would take this landlord to court but instead I will try and warn others. If you rent a place from Merritt Realty, try to do so without a security deposit as they will not return the majority of it. They will say that I am just a bad tenant and they did nothing wrong, but with a surplus of rental options available, why take the chance? Use any of the other options in Tucson.
