Merry Maids Corp. of Farmington

Review: I contracted with Merry Maids to have a house cleaned on April 9, 2013. I provided a check (which subsequently cleared) to pay in full for the services provided, in the amount of $350.96.On May 17, 2013, my credit card was billed $53.17. At no time did Merry Maids contact me about an additional charge, offer me the opportunity to pay by check if, in fact it was a legitimate charge, nor did they have my permission to charge my credit card. (I initially provided my credit card account number to guarantee payment, though actually paid with a personal check.)I contacted Merry Maids on May 28, 2013 and was told someone would get back to me with an explanation. I contacted them again on May 30, 2013, and again was told someone would get back to me. As of today, June 4, 2013, no one has contacted me.I reported the charge to my credit card company.

As my credit card restored the charge to my account, I don't expect restitution from Merry Maids.I want to make the point that I believe this is a deceptive business practive and would expect it to be stopped.
