We hired merry maids originally to help get the house in order, after the first cleaning the service declined severely and people were being sent that I was not comfortable having in my home. Called on Dec 2nd requesting cancellation and was told we would need to email them a written request, which was done, and that there was a 30 day service window. Then in Early January we were contacted again to set up the appointments for this month, we notified them that we cancelled it, to which they said we didn't, so we requested it again. Then we receive another call yesterday stating that they need to come tomorrow (today) for our cleaning this month. I called the manager today 1/30/2020 (major attitude issue) who then informed me (and also mentioned that she talked to my wife yesterday and already TOLD her that were required to complete 2 more cleanings. Im assuming shes referring to the 30 day window as its a bi monthly service. I did speak to a rep before speaking to her that they have a cancellation request in from this month, not December. I told the manager that we cancelled it in December, and that we have time stamped emails showing when they were sent. Ultimately at the end of the call I was told if I refuse the service ill be sent to collections and then she got off the phone.

If you would like I can send you a signed copy of the agreement that states if you cancel service for any reason then you will be subject to pay the cancellation fee or you most send in to the office a 30 day letter of cancelation and allow us in the home for 2 more cleanings and there would not be a fee added to cancel service. When I spoke with the wife *** she had agreed to the last 2 cleanings. On the day of the cleaning the husband calls stating he will call the police if we come onto the property and we better not charge the card for anything. Yes I would like a copy for our records, but the reason that I called in is because you will not accept our 30 day notice that we sent to you in December, meaning the service should have been satisfied in December 2019. When you called first of January We informed you that we notified you in December and you acted like you didn't received the cancellation. Ill attach a copy of the time stamped email again here. We were charged 173.20 on Dec 23rd for the months services. I am requesting that our service is cancelled per us satisfying your 30 day notice and cleaning services in December. If we are in the wrong I accept that and would like you to provide documentation; That said, we have provided to you a time stamped copy of the cancellation request in email form (the method you requested to be notified by via phone,) and you will not accept it. I do not understand where the disconnect is? I do manage two businesses and we have an attorney in house. An attempt to place a negative instance against our credit or to send us to collections for a service that we have satisfied per your requirements will result in a lawsuit.
Attached is the copy of signed agreement Merry Maids. There is no cancellation notice sent to my email and I informed Mrs. she could just leave the cancellation notice on the day we were scheduled to proceed with final cleaning and I would still honor the cancellation as 30 day notice. But as you can see on page 2 number 4 it states that if you are a monthly customer and you choose to cancel you have to allow us last cleaning or pay the fee to cancel the service.
