Our house flooded and we subsequently had to replace the flooring in our entire houseWe had the flooring we wanted picked out and we're just waiting to hear back from insuranceInitially I was very impressed with the sales rep assisting us in choosing our new flooringWhile waiting for insurance, I scheduled for measurements to be takget an estimateWhen I went to schedule a time to get measurements/estimate I waited for about 30-minutes for the sales rep's assistant (sales rep wasn't working that day)They paged her overhead about 3-timesShe finally helped me schedule a time to get measurements, but had been working at her desk before helping me and neglected to attend to what I came in the store forOur house was measured and we were told we would receive a call about the estimate within a couple of daysTwo weeks later, still no callI called to follow up and the sales rep was busy with another customer/unavailableLeft a message with no returned callThey have a great selection; however, the follow through with customers is nonexistentI was very disappointed with their lack of customer service and responsivenessWe have gone with another company that showed us great customer service with responsiveness, respect, and equivalent pricing!

I ordered flooring after picking out one I liked based on the display It was laid in a timely manner by very kind installers However, it doesn't look like the display that I liked very much and ordered from They came out again and changed some of the pieces around to look more balanced, but it still doesn't look like the display It was quite pricey and it makes me very sad that it doesn't look like what I ordered

Review: Before I signed the contract for 24 cleanings biweekly I explained what type of service I expected. I was assured that I would receive this service. I had mentioned that I disliked cleaning the oven and bathrooms and that my daycare needed sanitizing of the toys. I was assured that they would do it and that I should ask the crew and it wouldn't be a problem. On March 22nd, 2013 I had a crew of 2 cleaners come to my home at 8:30 am. They were supposed to clean 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, hallway, living room, dining room and kitchen. I run a home daycare with children and they informed me they needed to clean the space we were in. Having nowhere to go, I left the home with the children. When I returned the crew of 2 was in the car ready to leave. I paid them $100.00 and did not request they wait until I checked the home because they appeared to be in a rush. When I came in I first notice visible dirt in the foyer. the master bathroom still had hair on the shower wall, the mirror hadn't been cleaned, nothing dusted, trash can uncleaned, spider webs still on dining room light fixture, etc. I asked the crew to wipe down the big toys that the children touch and it wasn't done. They didn't even wipe the table where the children ate. The bicycles and toys were still in the same position when I returned home. I contacted Merry Maids and a supervisor was sent out immediately. She spent two additional hours re-cleaning my home.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel my contract with Merry Maids because I feel that they have misled me and can not perform the services that are needed. I feel that I should not have to pay the cancellation fee of $193.00 due to services that were promised before the signing of the contract and not rendered.

[redacted] started service with us on March 9, 2013. The fee for that cleaning was $321.00. She paid $128 for that cleaning with the understanding that Merry Maids would waive $193.00 from the 1st cleaning if the client agreed to 24 bi-weekly cleanings with Merry Maids. Our initial cleaning is significantly more expensive and time consuming than subsequent visits. [redacted] agreed to the 24 cleaning package and was very happy with the initial cleaning. On March 22, 2013 we went to [redacted]’s home for our 2nd cleaning. She called the office following the cleaning and expressed that she was unhappy with the cleaning. We immediately dispatched our Quality Control supervisor to [redacted]’s home to address her concerns. Our supervisor corrected the deficiencies and [redacted] thanked her and even gave her a tip to show her appreciation. On 4/4/13 we received a notice from the Revdex.com that [redacted] wanted to cancel her service and would like Merry Maids not to charge the $193 that was waived from the initial cleaning. Merry Maids invested a significant amount of additional time to clean her home on the first visit. The agreement that [redacted] signed clearly states that in the event the client cancels the service before the 24 cleaning commitment is fulfilled they will be charged the waived fee—in [redacted]’s case this amount is $193.00.

We contacted [redacted] as she was still active on our schedule to confirm that she would like to cancel her service with Merry Maids. We explained again the terms of the agreement she signed and she asked that we invoice her for the amount owed.

I am rejecting this response because:

As I stated in my first complaint, Merry Maids failed to live up to the standards that they promised, breaking their agreement. Therefore I don't feel that I should be under any contract or commitment to pay the $193.00 cancellation fee. I signed a contract with the belief that my home would be clean every two weeks to my expectations. The first cleaning was excellent and I believed the second cleaning would be the same. For the crew to come into my home and only vacuum was unacceptable! I signed that contract believing it would make my life easier just like [redacted] said it would, but it has only left me angry and feeling like I was made a fool of for leaving the crew unsupervised. I should not and did not want to have to check behind workers that were supposed to know what was expected of them.
