In response to [redacted] complaint I Would like to first apologize for the length of time that has lapsed since receiving the first letterThe complaint was put in the owner’s mailbox here in the office however he has not been here to go through his mail until nowHe has asked me to handle thisOn May 27th Ms [redacted] contacted our Merry Maids office to inquire about our serviceShe spoke to [redacted] who is our service representative who explained that because she was interested in getting a monthly service she would need to go out there to give her some pricing optionsOur recurring service is based on several factors for example, room size, amounts of furniture, condition, activity levelsetcAfter performing the walk through [redacted] give her a month price of $She also explained that our first time in cleaning is based on an hourly rate of $per hour which she estimated approximately hours.Our initial cleaning is a very deep spring cleaning including services such as moving out all furniture to dust behind and vacuum thoroughly, outside of all cabinets, appliances, all woodwork is washed, light fixtures, and window sills and ledgesThe cleaning is basically top to bottom-left to right of every room so depending on the condition of the home we give an estimated time to clean [redacted] estimated her home at 2-hours at $per hour for a team of cleaners including all the products and supplies necessary to perform the serviceThe deep cleaning sets up the account for the recurring serviceOn the day of service we sent two of our ladies, [redacted] and [redacted] who both have been here at Merry Maids for at least yearsUnfortunately the cleaning took hours more that [redacted] had estimated but during the estimate there are many factors [redacted] may not have seen but again it is an estimate of timeMs [redacted] however let them clean for hours before contacting our office knowing that the initial cleaning was by the hourWhen [redacted] called in and said [redacted] told her a set price of $(doesn’t even to hours at per hour) we explained that we would have [redacted] contact her to discuss the situation because we were not there and conversation was really between the two of themI spoke with [redacted] and asked her to contact Ms [redacted] [redacted] has explained to me that she reached out several times to [redacted] and never received a call backWe had hoped to resolve this before she felt it necessary to contact the Revdex.comWe in good faith charged Ms [redacted] credit card $and have mailed her check of $back to herWe have also cancelled her account with Merry MaidsSomehow there was a breakdown in communication between Ms [redacted] and our service representative [redacted] We have always provided exceptional service to our customers and our initial cleanings have been priced by the hour for the past yearsWe always give a window of time because it is very hard to be 100% accurate based on condition of a homeIf you have any further questions please contact me at ###-###-####

She also explained that our first time in cleaning is based on an hourly rate of $80 per hour which she estimated approximately 3 hours.Our initial cleaning is a very deep spring cleaning including services such as moving out all furniture to dust behind and vacuum thoroughly, outside of all cabinets, appliances, all woodwork is washed, light fixtures, and window sills and ledges. The cleaning is basically top to bottom-left to right of every room so depending on the condition of the home we give an estimated time to clean. [redacted] estimated her home at 2-3 hours at $80 per hour for a team of 2 cleaners including all the products and supplies necessary to perform the service. The deep cleaning sets up the account for the recurring service. On the day of service we sent two of our ladies, [redacted] and [redacted] who both have been here at Merry Maids for at least 10 years. Unfortunately the cleaning took 2 hours more that [redacted] had estimated but during the estimate there are many factors [redacted] may not have seen but again it is an estimate of time. Ms [redacted] however let them clean for 5 hours before contacting our office knowing that the initial cleaning was by the hour. When [redacted] called in and said [redacted] told her a set price of $255.00 (doesn’t even to 3 hours at 489 per hour) we explained that we would have [redacted] contact her to discuss the situation because we were not there and conversation was really between the two of them. I spoke with [redacted] and asked her to contact Ms [redacted] has explained to me that she reached out several times to [redacted] and never received a call back. We had hoped to resolve this before she felt it necessary to contact the Revdex.com. We in good faith charged Ms [redacted] credit card $240.00 and have mailed her check of $255.00 back to her. We have also cancelled her account with Merry Maids. Somehow there was a breakdown in communication between Ms [redacted] and our service representative [redacted]. We have always provided exceptional service to our customers and our initial cleanings have been priced by the hour for the past 23 years.
