I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12015605, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI do not agree with some of the statements he mentioned as everything is word of mouth and we could argue over this scenario for hoursHe let me pay half and to satisfy the paymentI mentioned to him the reasoning for paying half is because he did some work finding the issue and not resolving itHe mentioned to me that he would call me on his next availability and he did notI asked him if he could work out a payment plan with me and he stated he will talk with the company- at that time, I did not know he was the ownerI appreciate you helping me try to resolve this issueThis company is very unprofessional and they need to be auditedI wish the best for him and thank you again Regards, [redacted] ***

Dear ***,I would first like to start out by saying that I received a call from MrsL on February 28th She had received the invoice we sent them and wished to go over the billI called her and listened to her concern about the bill which was about paying for itI told her that *** (MrL)
when he first contacted me, discussed a means of paying for the work to be done*** was experiencing a slow time at work and funds were not available to pay any large billI told her that he and I had talked and I told him we could work a payment schedule of some sortShe was pleasant and said she would have *** call me when he got homeLater that day he did call*** expressed to me that he was not happy with the amount of the charges and expressed most the issues that he claims in his complaint to youTrying to understand his financial situation I asked him what he was willing to pay and felt was fair and honestHe told me he felt, I believe he said $479.00. I told him I did not feel that was reasonable, but I would accept it if he would pay the bill by week endI told him at that amount I was no longer willing to carry the payments, so if he wanted that deal it was fine with meHe agreed to meet me on Saturday at my office to pay the billI was bewildered when he called me on Friday the 3rd of March and wanted to meet that late afternoonI was not available and did not get the message until late that nightI was even more surprised when he showed up at my office door in the early morning on Saturday the 4thHe came in and we were again pleasant to one anotherHe paid us $and I gave him a written receipt stating the bill was satisfied.I write all this because I now see why he went from have no money and needed a loan from us for the work we did and were to doHe or She had written to the Revdex.com sometime before ever calling me to try to resolve this issueI find that quite underhanded. Most of what Mror MrsL reported to you is true, many details are shaded and some left out altogether. On January the 24th *** called with a no working sewer system and asked what would cost to repairFrom miles away I find those questions hard to answerI told him usually it is around $250-dollarsThe figures are service charge of $to get a truck and man there, $for the 1st hour on site with the man and sewer machine, then sales taxHe explained to me he did not have any real funds at the time as work was very slowWe talked about working something out to pay the bill over maybe several weeksThat was never firmed up in any wayHe agreed that he could do that and asked me to come out and look at his situationI had loaded a sewer machine and tools in the van and arrived at his homeAfter looking at the plumbing and finding no way to access the sewer without removing the toilet and running the machine from his bathroom, which would make a mess of the roomWith that there was nothing more I could do for himHe and I both looked under the crawl space and found the sewer line but could not find an opening clean outI advise him we could call the village sewer department and see if they had any documents showing the original install and possibly a clean out that we may have missedHe agreed and we calledI waited with him until the man from the DPW showed up and spent about minutes with us but with no helpThe man from the DPW did state to *** and I that he knew of a (plumber) who had a pressure unit that could open the sewerAfter the DPW left *** and I talked and I told him that if that (plumber) has some sort of a pressure machine and he (***) wanted to call him I was fineFrom talking to him I was lead to believe that he was going to take that routeI made up an invoice for the service charge and hour of time plus tax and presented it to ***He paid the bill and I was off with the idea he was set*** called 25th or 26thHe told me he still had the problem and wanted to know if we would come backI told we would and I AGAIN TOLD HIM WE WOULD HAVE TO TRY IN THE BATH ROOM AND IT WOULD MAKE A MESSHe understood but wanted the sewer goingI and one of my men loaded equipment and returned to do what he askedWe removed the toilet and tried to run the machine through the line in the bathroom We found we could only go to feet and hit an obstruction. We tried several times with same resultsWe took *** out to the side of the house where he had a piece of piratical board bent nailed over an old missing window which gas a foot high access to the plumbing under the bath area and where the cast iron sewer was exposedThis area had several inches of waste all under the bath areaI told him if he wanted us to go further we were going to have to dig up the line and find the obstructionHe asked if he could leave it until after tax time or spring, again because he did not have any moneyWe told him he could leave if forever but he already and a pool of poo under his house and not a good environment for him and his familyHe again brought up the no money and we again said he could have some time to pay for itHe said to go ahead and dig it upIf you check the weather for that day in Dundee NY you will find it had been warm, that day was cool and raining, so we worked in the cool rain going in and out of the house to do this job for him on creditPlease do not forget the several inches of waste we had to deal withAfter men digging for better than a hour we found the problemHe had an old cast iron house trap buried in the ground under the foundation area that the bottom was rotted outThe trap had a clean out on the outlet side and we were able to finally get our machine to run out and clean the sewerWe did run the line feet to the street and yes we did encounter several areas that were very hard to get throughBut we got through them and the sewer was open and working. We showed *** the opening in the trap and the water flowing through it to the sewerWe reinstalled the toilet as best we could as the floor was rotted from the continual leak at the sealWe asked for and he gave us some old towels or rags to clean up the floor which we did again as well as to mud and sewage covered men could doWe explained that even though the sewer is working, we advised him to try to prevent and large amounts material from being flushed.Meaning flush or times per a use and try to dispose of the paper products in the garbageThe idea being the sewer has some bad spots in it so be carefulWe did backfil the area to prevent rodents getting in and someone falling into the open hole.We loaded up and I advise him he might have to dig up and repair or replace the sewer and for sure we should replace the trap as it has a hole in the bottom of itWe used the old practical board to cover the old window area again and tried to stuff it with insulation to keep the cold outBefore we left I told him we could not dig the sewer and do any more repairs that day We would have to return with an excavator and material, but to give it a try and GET BACK TO US IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PROBLEMS OR ANT TO DIG AND REAPI THE TRAP AND SEWER. I never heard any more from *** or his wife until the she called on the 28th.We did not send a bill for several weeks waiting to see if he needed any other work and to give him time to save some money to pay the billThere was no late charge, it only showed it was lateI explained to MrsL that that was do to the fact the new charges were added to the original bill dated in JanuaryI had not caught that on the printed invoice, but there were no late fees.As I stated above I never heard any more from them, but they did call some other someone to fix the problemIf the some other did fix the problem they possibility used the fresh dug soil to access the trap and line and install a proper clean out as I instructed *** was needed to be doneWhy didn’t *** call me if he was have more problems or wished to finish the repair? For sure the fresh dig made it easy and cheaper for some other to do it.That was convenient, wasn’t it?I know nothing about the freezer and them losing any foodI have had experiences with freezer that were off, but not thawed food in hoursI have personally lost power at my own home and worked for people that have gone for a day or two with no power and not lost food if it stays closed.I could type several more pages, but to sum up how I feel.# taken advantage of.# stuck for several hundred dollars.# foolish for listening to and having a little compassion for ***.# two hours more wasted on him answering this complaint.By the way neither *** or his wife said anything to me about this complaintIf he had I would never have agreed to accept his half paymentCould that be the reason for his haste to meet on Friday afternoon?Sincerely.Peter C***
