Mesa Family Medical Center

I had been seeing a doctor at this practice for several years and really like her, however the office does not seem to know what it is doing. I had to change insurance carriers this year (2015) and this clinic and the doctors were listed as contracted with the insurance company. I selected the doctor as my primary care physician and attempted to make an appointment with her. Before the person in scheduling would look in to available appointments she asked for my insurance details. She then told me they do not take that insurance. I told her I had selected my doctor as my primary care physician and this woman told me that that I could have her as my primary care physician but the practice won't accept my insurance. I then called my insurance company who said they were contracted with them and what the front desk person said did not make sense. The insurance company tried calling twice that day to clear the matter up. After finally getting through to the billing department they were told the woman who can verify the contract was not there that day but would be tomorrow. The clinic said for me to call back tomorrow to have her let the front desk know my insurance was contracted with them. I then called the next day and they told me the woman wasn't working today. When I pressed them to find out when she'll be back they said try tomorrow. I get the feeling they do not want to clear this up and wonder how long they can remain in business if they treat patients in this manner. I plan to find another physician due to the incompetence of the business office..

I went to this doctors office to get my yearly check up. Nothing out of the ordinary, just some I do each year. This is something the insurance company pays for minus my co pay. When I got a bill for $222 I called to ask why. The insurance company told me the doctor sent over the wrong codes. So he gave me the code of what she sent (which wasn't at all an issue of why I was there) and then also gave me the code she was supposed to send for the 'check up'. He made it pretty easy. I have called the doctors office and told the doctor what she needs to send over I've done all the research work that I shouldn't have to do. ALL she has to do is call or email them changing it to the the right code. She acted like it was a hassle to have to do this but it was her mistake in the first place. So it has been a month shy of this visit and I am still waiting for her to help and take some action. This is unacceptable. I will never go to this doctor office again.
