I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I did get something ( an engine they received with two cylinders that were sleeved ) and it was not for nothing as I paid a lot of money, in which they deny installing the sleeves which I will take them on their word, but as the person paying $for block in which they received, why didn't they inform of this as it is not a small issue, I would have sent the block back This is from current Engine builder HDS which is their direct competition, they said teh sleeve that was installed at Mesa Machines direction over at Hot Rods and Custom Stuff was not the right brand of sleeve of this block, they gave bad advice to Hot Rods and when the block arrived ( the same block they worked at Mesa Machine and the engine crank are under my bench in my garage as they are worthless to me ) to install a sleeve that was wrong and the correct sleeve was the one that JBA installed but it also leaked which led me back to Mesa MachineI am not blaming Mesa Machine for the leaking rear main seal but it was machined at their location and it did leak, but I want an answer since they denied sleeving the cyclinders, why did they not tell me and I never would be in positionThey received a block that they know I paid high dollar for as *** explained to me another customer just did the same and had to sleeve the block for a cadillac to salvage the block and tell their customer, Mr*** the block you paid for was sleeved in two cylinders and I could have sent it back and received a full refund under the *** purchase agreement but now I have a block that is literally uselessFor them to say I wanted something for nothing is outrageousI paid for a rebuilt motor and I got one that never worked correctly combined with the fact I received an original block that was damaged and repaired by either them but as *** from Mesa Machine said, " we would have told you"Well you did not tell me it was sleeved or you sleeved it, so either way you machined a block that no one will want and is damaged, so one way or the other you guys took my money and *** said, " stick it in the car and run it", well I did and it leaked oil *** and you are going to put your reputation on the lineI am not asking for all my money back but some would heal my wounds as I am out over $+.*** ***

re. complaint no. [redacted] from [redacted]. When the block was sent to us there was never any discussion about the condition of the block other than the fact he bought it for his car. We would not have installed any sleeves in the block without notifying him first as there would be approx. $250.00 extra charge to him. His problem was not with the sleeves in the block but an oil leak witch three different shops tried to find. We tried to help him with it but he taking it to other shops with no success. I hope H.D.S. can help him solve his problem and he can enjoy his car.  I am proud to say we have been in business for 45 years and really don't feel we have any competition. We have our customer base and the other guys theirs. There never is any warranty on customer supplied parts as I have said before.  As I don't have time to spend typing these letters this is the last one on this subject.   ps.
