"I, ***, bought a "Teacup Yorkie" by the name of "Molly" from *** of "Becky's Teacup Yorkies" on October 22, 2019. I paid a $1,000 hold and $2,000 for he for a total of $3,000. I, also, paid $600 for a puppy nanny to fly with her from Abilene TX to Seattle. The puppy wasn't in a pet carrier and was handed to us by a man. I took the puppy to my vet in Everson WA on the 23rd of October. *** told me she had been in a fight with another dog as there was har mising on her back. Enclosed are the vet bills so far - she had "ringworm" and still trying to get it under control & ear infections. Very disgusted with this."
"Considering I am over $1,000 in my vet bills so far - the dog is not a teacup - it weighs 8 lbs - I would appreciate 1/2 or more money back."
Called business 4/16/20 and they stated: "We use a standard breeder weight chart to estimate the size of the dog and the puppies are priced accordingly. While it is usually close, there are exceptions. The sale agreement explained that we can't guarantee an estimate. The Health Guarantee, also, states that vet bills will not be reimbursed; but, if a puppy is diagnosed by a vet with a life threatening condition that is untreatable, we will replace the puppy. Additionally, regarding the puppy delivery, the delivery person works for the airlines and the airlines requires a carrier; but, the carrier doesn't come with the puppy. While the consumer's puppy doesn't qualify for a refund, if the vet will provide written verification that the puppy is a healthy 8 pounds and it will resolve the consumer's complaint, I will be willing to reimburse her $1,000. In this case, she may forward the vet's confirmation and her request to me and I will process the partial refund."
