We hired Mesquite to landscape our backyard after getting many quotes, they came in at the best price of what we wanted. We went over with Miquel on what we wanted and how we wanted the landscaping to look around the pool being built. They had 2 guys come over that same week to start on the stucco for the perimeter walls and they finished that in a day. After that Mesquite came to the house during the week and had at least 10 guys here to complete my backyard which included the following: travertine patio with a fire pit, a small section of grass with paver border, pool equipment wall with stucco, about 9 palm trees and 25 assorted plants, sprinkler and dripper system, LED lighting on the trees, 40 tons of rock and a paver extension on our front driveway. After telling them the placement of plants they were done with all this work in 1 day. I was amazed with this!!! We have had some issues with some plants not taking but after calling they came out and replaced all without a question. I would recommend this company to my friends.

Review: We hired Mesquite landscaping to install landscaping in our front yard, to contact and be the liason for us with the HOA and the guidelines, along with installing pavers and lighting. We paid the owner Juan in full, however the boulders were not delivered until 4 days later, the pavers are uneven and the wiring is not complete. The plants are not tagged and the job is not complete. We have called over 17 times, left several messages and tried to communicate via Text message yet no one has gotten back to us. He knows we had 30 days to submit the HOA plot plan along with having 90 days to complete and turn in the completion paperwork. The company has failed to respond to multiple attempts to gather this information and was paid in full for a job not completed.Desired Settlement: Call us!! Come out finish the Job we paid them for, tagging the plants, fix the fence door, cleaning up the cement, fix the uneven pavers, fix the electrical wires from hanging on the side of the house, provide us with the initial approval which we have been asking for and complete the job so we do not have any more fees from the HOA.

I met [redacted] of Mesquite Landscaping, Inc. recently when I was taking estimates from various landscaping companies for several projects I wanted to have completed in my backyard and one in the front yard. [redacted] was very courteous and willing to complete the projects for what I considered to be a reasonable amount, which was helpful as I had been saving for months from a Military disability payment to pay for the projects. A team that [redacted] highly recommended from Mesquite Landscaping, Inc. completed most of the projects earlier during the week with the last project completed on Friday, April 17th. I was on that same day that I was cleaning around the backyard that I noticed the [redacted] around the flagstone project had not cured after a week. I contacted [redacted] to appraise him of the situation and to ask if the problem was to be corrected. After several attempts, I have yet to receive a response which I will interpreted as a “No” to my request for the project to be made right. [redacted]’s lack of a response prompted me to take a closer look at the other projects completed in my yard. The “finished” lighting project in my front yard has wiring that was simply laid down and covered with the rock already in my yard. (Not what I had planned with when I bought the lights as one of my personal projects). And, I am worried to put water to the pavestone I had installed in the event the [redacted] comes up as easily as it did with the flagstone and ruins another thousand plus dollar project.
All in all, I feel [redacted] misrepresented his company, his team and his work ethic. Like the previous complaint, I should have considered a hand written “contract” without a clear warranty an indicator of what lay in store for me. I would not in good conscience recommend Mesquite Landscape, Inc. or any other company owned by [redacted] to a friend or family.
I will take this as a “lesson learned” since I had planned on taking on my own projects. However, as a home owner in a “new build” subdivision surrounded by new construction, I plan on passing on my complaint to the home builders and HOAs in my area to be on alert so future home owners do not spend thousands of dollars for shoddy landscape projects from Mesquite Landscaping, Inc.

I know people are much more motivated to leave a negative review than a positive one, so I'll let you know about our experience. The staff from Mesquite spent a lot of time discussing our design choices and function needs with us, and made several visits to ensure they were quoting what we wanted. They turned our bare dirt lot into a true Arizona gem in just a few short days. We even had to have them come out a few times in the 2 weeks after completion to fix tiles, make adjustments, and even repurchase and reinstall an electric box for landscape lighting. The stones in our travertine aren't laser-leveled, but I think that makes it look more natural. And, our small patch of turf isn't the exact model we ordered and there was some miscommunication about one of our steps leading to a travertine deck, but the amazing job on everything else makes up for it. Our yard is gorgeous and we love being back there. Mesquite Landscaping made our yard a fully functional living space, and we appreciate it.

Review: Mesquite Landscaping did the landscaping of my backyard a few weeks back. Ever since they did it there was one problem or the other with the drips or sprinklers. They did have someone come in once to fix one of the issues but then we noticed that after the lawn sprinklers are done the water in the lawn is not getting drained and there are puddles of water all over the lawn. Also the water leaks on to the gravel on the side of the lawn. I have called them several times for over a week and they one of them would come over the same day or the next day. After sometime they stopped picking up my phone. So when I tried calling up from a different number they pick up. So I finally thought I should file a complaint here. They are un-profressional and do not provide proper paperwork like receipts/warranty with the business name on it. Mostly hand written stuff. Their warrant was hand written. My advise is to never ever go with someone who provides inferior service and then later doesn't honor the commitment to repair it. I made a mistake. Now I am thinking of hiring some other landscaper to finish the pending part of the backyard like the pool and also having them fix the lawn problem.Desired Settlement: None! the issues remain the same.

I should have done some research... we just wanted a couple pergolas built beside our pool, but they sold us to complete the whole back yard. They assured us that permits were not required for any of the projects. Unfortunately, we had complaints and had to deal with HOA. Turns out permits are required for one of the pergola and the gas lines to the bbq and fire pit. Even after telling them, they continued to claim otherwise, to the point where they said the City inspector told them it is not required. Luckily I went to the Planning Department and spoke to the same agents they apparently spoke to in order to get the truth. Now we will have to hire another contractor to do any repairs required to get post construction inspection completed for the permits. Aside from the lies, their workmanship was terrible, the pergola columns are not straight, travertine pavers don't match our existing deck, firepit cut is not circular, the list goes on... and their CR21 type license does not allow for building bbq

Mr. M[redacted] told us we were getting 17 tons of rock for our landscape in our yard. We noticed it broke down quickly and we see most of it is fill only. I have called Mr. M[redacted], and I get no response. I had them put pavers in also, and a fire pit. The walkway to the firepit now has what appears to be a light staining which appeared a few months latee. Looks like they spilled concrete or something, removed it and now the sun hitting it has brought it out in time.
NO CALL RETURNED.

Review: They charged extra for plants to cover in case the plants die. They did not honor the replacement guarntee. They never came back to do the minor fixes (electrical, masonry etc.) I called, emailed, and texted them numerous times. I have all the records for these communications. They promised to come and fix it but never showed up. They supposed to spray for weeds twice a month for six months after the job completion but never showed up.Desired Settlement: Replace died plants, spray for weeds for six months twice a month, and finish all the minor fixes.
