Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/04/25) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] President Contact Phone: (XXX) XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ***@cobraracks.com This customer came into our store asking if we sold truck rimsI told him that we do but we don't put rims on tiresHe understoodHe stated that he wanted rims that would be easy to cleanI asked what size rims and he said 17"I got on line and showed him numerous rims that were available and he had chosen the "Mickey Thompson Classic III" rimsHE PICKED THE RIMSI contacted my vendor with the customer sitting in front of me to find out price and availabilityI gave the customer the price and that I could have them in the store next day and he said go ahead and order themThe next day I opened one of the rims box for him to see and he was happyI loaded the rims into his truck for him at which point he took it upon himself to go to Discount Tire and have them installedI asked him if he would stop by with the rims on enabling me to take pictures of them - a common practice of oursHe called the next day and said that the rims were to big and when Discount Tire went to back the truck out of the bay, he said that a mudflap tore offDiscount Tire sold him another set of rims and they too were not to his likingAt this point, Disoount Tire took them off and sold him another set of rimsHe came back to our shop and not only wanted his money back, he wanted me to re-attach the torn mudflapThe mudflap was torn off at Discount Tire but I went ahead and reapplied his mudflap as a courtesyAftermarket rims are CAREFULLY packaged for protection during shipping and these rims were thrown in boxes when returnedUpon examining the returned rims, there were damaged to themI assume from Discount Tire when mounting and dismounting the rimsEven with this, I went so far as to contact my vendor and Mickey Thompson direct to try and get him a refund but due to the damage and mounting of the rims they could not be accepted for refundI even told the customer that I would post an ad for him on Craig's List to help him sell his rimsThis customer is trying to get out of ording the wrong set of rims and overlook the damage that I had pointed out to himIt was convient for him to purchase from Discount Tire rather than going thru this "hassle again" as the customer statedHis complaint about being misinformed of the cost to balance and mount the rims ($130.39) is with Discount Tire yet his complaint makes it sound as if we misinformed himCobra Systems had nothing to do with the mounting, dismounting and balance chargesWe have done all that we can do for this customer and his rims are still in the boxes that he return them in waiting for him to pick them upWe have NEVER had a customer complain about our customer service OFFER: There will be no refund, the customer has already been told this and the reasons whyHe needs to pick up his rims within days of this posting Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/04/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
