understood. He stated that he wanted rims that would be easy to clean. I asked what size rims and he said 17". I got on line and showed him numerous rims that were available and he had chosen the "Mickey Thompson Classic III" rims. HE PICKED THE RIMS. I contacted my vendor with the customer sitting in front of me to find out price and availability. I gave the customer the price and that I could have them in the store next day and he said go ahead and order them. The next day I opened one of the rims box for him to see and he was happy. I loaded the rims into his truck for him at which point he took it upon himself to go to Discount Tire and have them installed. I asked him if he would stop by with the rims on enabling me to take pictures of them - a common practice of ours. He called the next day and said that the rims were to big and when Discount Tire went to back the truck out of the bay, he said that a mudflap tore off. Discount Tire sold him another set of rims and they too were not to his liking. At this point, Disoount Tire took them off and sold him another set of rims. He came back to our shop and not only wanted his money back, he wanted me to re-attach the torn mudflap. The mudflap was torn off at Discount Tire but I went ahead and reapplied his mudflap as a courtesy. Aftermarket rims are CAREFULLY packaged for protection during shipping and these rims were thrown in boxes when returned. Upon examining the returned rims, there were damaged to them. I assume from Discount Tire when mounting and dismounting the rims. Even with this, I went so far as to contact my vendor and Mickey Thompson direct to try and get him a refund but due to the damage and mounting of the rims they could not be accepted for refund. I even told the customer that I would post an ad for him on Craig's List to help him sell his rims. This customer is trying to get out of ording the wrong set of rims and overlook the damage that I had pointed out to him. It was convient for him to purchase from Discount Tire rather than going thru this "hassle again" as the customer stated. His complaint about being misinformed of the cost to balance and mount the rims ($130.39) is with Discount Tire yet his complaint makes it sound as if we misinformed him. Cobra Systems had nothing to do with the mounting, dismounting and balance charges. We have done all that we can do for this customer and his rims are still in the boxes that he return them in waiting for him to pick them up. We have NEVER had a customer complain about our customer service.

There will be no refund, the customer has already been told this and the reasons why. He needs to pick up his rims within 10 days of this posting.

I was misinformed due to the fact that they would not fit my vehicle not the cost of mounting and balancing. While there are several discrepancies in the reply the fact remains THEY DO NOT FIT. They were given the Make, Model,Tire and Rim size of my vehicle. The mud flap was not torn off but removed to show that the tire would still hit the inner splash shield.How can you state that they were thrown in the boxes when you were not there?When I returned them we agreed there was no damage to them except standard mounting prctice.This is his posting on Craig's List "Near new polished aluminum 17" rims. Customer returned due to being to wide for his tires" they had been mounted and removed. Where is the Damage?
