Messmer Motors' policy is to let our consumers know when plates/tabs are in*** *** is welcome to stop by our office at anytime to pick them up

Messmer Motors sold a Honda Accord on July for a purchase price of $2,($2,after tax title license doc) to *** ***She was brought in by her son in-law after he spent hours looking/test driving the vehicleI have never talked or received a complaint from the son
in-law about the carThis is my first time hearing from *** about the carOver a month later a third party ( a different daughter) who I had never met brought the car in saying it was broken down I’m all about customer service, but the people who bought the car and the owner should have contacted me immediately after they started having issuesI did have them bring it in because I want to provide customer serviceWhen it was looked at it was determined to have a blown head gasket, not a cracked head, and electrical pieces (like the temp gage) were unpluggedThe third party said that the son in-law had been working on the carKnowing this I cannot be liable for what someone else may have inadvertently causedFor all I know the car had been lent out to someone like the third party and they caused issues and now want me to fix itThis would have been avoided if the people involved in the purchase of the car would have talked to me soonerThe car obviously passed the test drive and everyone is absolutely able to have a buyer’s inspection performed at a shop prior to purchasing a vehicle

My dau;ghter and soninlaw was looking for a reliable car for meKeith told them that the honda accord was a very reliable carHe did not disclose to them that there was a cooling problem with the carThey paid for the car and put it in my name and I took the car homeIt was apparent after the first week that there was a problem with the temperature gauge which only went on when the engine was overheatingI signed a as is warranty so I thought there was nothing I could doMy daughter went to talk to Keith and he told her to bring the car in and he would see what he could do*** *** examined the car and said that it had a cracked head and would need a new engineHis answer to my daughter was that he would look for another car for me but he didn't know my financial situationI believe with the problem I had with the car that it had a cracked head when I took it homeI really prayed that he would do the right thing and either give my daughter her money back or fix the car o

On May 5, I purchased a Mitsubishi Lancer from Messmer MotorsI put down $1,and was in house financed for $1,The vehicle began to shake and overheat on my way home, I returned the vehicle assured that it would be fixedAfter the supposed repairs the vehicle would no longer start at allI attempted to return the vehicle but the owner Keith told me I could not return the vehicle due to our contractI was upset and started looking online for new cars and found that he had re-advertised my Mitsubishi Lancer on May 11, on Craigslist which is in violation of RCW (To cause or permit to be advertised, printed, displayed, published, distributed, broadcasted, televised, or disseminated in any matter whatsoever, any statement or representation with regard to the sale, lease or financing of a vehicle which is false, deceptive, or misleading.) and RCW (Unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any t

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Mr M[redacted] is avoiding the complaint.  He states that he notifies the client when the plates are in and can come in anytime to pick them up. He did not notify me that the license plates had come in.I called Mr M[redacted] to find out if the plates were available in September of 2017 and was told they were there. I asked him if he would please mail them to me and he agreed to do that. What's the problem? Can't he even accept the responsibility for sending me the plates, apologize and mail me the plates? This just shows to me that he is unwilling to accept any responsibility for the car itself or mailing me the license plates. There seems to be no recourse in dealing with dishonest people.
Sincerely,
