Metal Master’s replaced the roof on my home in March of 2019. I have reached out to Jason, Nick the owner, and the office regarding a leak in the roof for more than 2 months and no resolution has been reached regarding the repair. I was told by Jason my warranty was not valid because the local office closed and they had no one to repair the roof. I simply want my roof repaired as promised.

Metal Masters Construction Response • Apr 26, 2020

The local branch has closed as the homeowner stated and our Michigan staff is on lockdown until further notice through the governor. Once this portion of the crisis has resolved, we will contact Mr. Trent in regards to resolving his issue.

Although I understand the severity of the crisis we currently face this answer is unacceptable. My issue started prior to COVID-19. Your employee (Jason) told me your company would not honor the warranty due to the fact that, “the local office closed and that’s who my warranty was with”. All you have offered is a call back which you have failed at for 4months. I want to know that you will honor the warranty by fixing the issue or paying to have it fixed once the stay-in orders have lifted. I don’t want another empty promise of a call back without resolution.

A man come up to me while I was outside to ask me if I were interested in new windows, which I've been wanting for years. He said that he would send a guy for measurements and whatever. The next day a guy showed uptake next day at said time, very professional looking to sit and explain the contract and display what I would be getting, payment, etc. I asked about when my windows would be installed because he said that they do work in the winter months, that was back in October 2019 I've called 3 times. Today I finally got a call back. Well they can't do anything right now because the corona virus has shut the office down. Acceptable, I've waited this long.

IN July 2019 Metal Masters was paid $30300.00 to install new roof they subcontracted the job out to A-1 roofing. I was in the process of doing a refi on my house when I find out A-1 put a lien on my house because Metal Masters still owes them money for my job and several other jobs . Needles to say refi was cancelled till lien issue is resolved I contacted Metal Madters several times with no results. This has been going on since mi December 2019 For 2 months MM would not even return my call 3 weeks ago they told me they were contacting A-1 to come to the office to settle the dispute but they keep putting him off saying no one is there after they set up appointment I need this taken care of ASAP so I can continue with my refi I would appreciate any help from your office I can get because I'm about to retain a lawyer this has gone on long enough. Some how MM was paid by the bank doing the financing before the job even started when I contacted MM they said they didn't know how that happened so I contacted the bank because they are not to be paid till I sign form of completion and accepting the job was done good and their reply was " We don't know how it happened" So my 12 months of 0% financing was cut to 10 months because they were paid before the job started. Thank You for any help you can give me on this issue. Dave

Metal Masters Construction has been doing everything in our power to remedy this situation for Mr. Zelenock. The crew originally assigned to his installation was unfit to finish the work to Metal Masters satisfaction and was removed from the job site. They were paid for services rendered, however, feel that they should be entitled to the remainder of the pay that they did perform. In order to resolve this for Mr. Zelenock, we have had a meeting with the original crew in order to resolve this for Mr. Zelenock instead of forcing him to wait for us to engage in legal proceedings against the original crew. We have a second meeting scheduled with the original crew for final resolution with Mr. Zelenock. We understand that time is of the essence for him and are attempting to expedite this as quickly as we can.

Regards,On 3/2/2020 I made several attempts to call Met Masters in regards to the lien put on my home by A-1 Roofing to see if it’s been resolved. I ended up going to Metal Masters office and spoke to Jason who stated the boss wasn’t in I’m getting tired of their excuses. If this isn’t resolved soon it will get very costly on their part.Since this started in December my refi has been stopped and is going to cost me to restart the process so I turn it will definitely cost them much more. I have retained legal council on this matter so their idea of expediting this matter is totally different than mine I appreciate any help on this. Dave Zelenock

While we understand that Mr. Zelenock is displeased with the resolution, we are left with the option of meeting with the crew that has the pay dispute on their schedule or engage in a protracted legal dispute with them. As we are trying to save Mr. Zelenock time, we are still attempting to come to a resolution with the original crew.

Very professional. Representative met me in shirt and tie. Inspected and measure evertyhing by hand. Good price for warranty length. pleased to work with them.

We appreciate you coming to us to get your roof replaced. If you need anything, please feel free to give us a call, and welcome to the Metal Masters family.

I was pretty skeptical when my mom hired these people, but they did a good job. When they knocked on her door, I figured they were scammers, but they were on time, had decent pricing. In a couple years, I might talk to them about doing my roof.

Metal Masters Construction Response • Feb 12, 2020

Thank you Jeff. I’m glad to hear that your mother’s roof went on smoothly. If you have anything else you need, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

In October 2019, my fiance and I hired Metal Masters Construction (Lansing, MI office) for a roofing project. It has been nothing but a complete nightmare. They laid all the metal and said they were done. On October 24th the project manager, Jeremy Zwiernik came to my home and agreed that the project needed to be torn off and redone. He stated to allow him 2-3 weeks to receive new material. During the time span of 4-6 weeks, there was no communication from Jeremy concerning the arrival of the materials or any information. I took it upon myself to contact Jeremy myself, he was very disrespectful towards me and basically told me if I thought I could do his job better I could call the supplier myself and maybe rush them a bit more. He then proceeded to give me the supplier named Square Deal. I called all the offices and was told that there was never an order placed for my residence. I then took it to corporate after having my house red tag (12/19/2019) by the city due to the failure of passing code and the company failing to pull proper permits as stated in our contract. I spoke with Brenda and she told me to sent her the picture of the notice to her personal cellphone and she would forward it to Nicholas Klupp, the owner. I was also told that he would have a resolution to the problem that following Monday. After having many failed attempts of having Mr. Klupp at our residence to assist the problems. I was told he was sick, the next time I was called a half-hour before his arrival and was told he would not be coming because he was having emergency surgery for a gallbladder. Finally on January 4th, 2020, Mr. Klupp came to our residence to look at the disapproved work. He then said he would be personally redoing the roof, he would be writing me a check for the missed bank payments since the start of the job and that he would make this right. On January 14th, I had contacted Mr. Klupp to let him know that my homeowner's insurance was giving me 30 days to have this roof completed or they were canceling my insurance, he then proceeded to say that this roof will definitely be completed by then. Since then there hasn't been any communication once again. I have attempted to make calls and text messages to him which were never answered/returned. On January 21st I received a phone call from Jason at Metal Masters Construction stating that Mr. Klupp would be out the following day. He never showed I ended up calling the office once again. This time I spoke with Brenda, she told me she would see what was going on and let me know. She called me back and told me a "Shawn" was 5 miles from my house and would be there to take measurements of the roof. Shawn shows up, takes measurements, proceeded to apologize for the horrible experience and proceeded to agree the roof was ridiculous and embarrassing. He then told me I was on the schedule for Monday and they would be here to begin the work with completion of Wednesday. Shawn then gave me his personal phone number and told me he was now in charge of the project. Sunday (January 27) I sent a text message to Shawn verifying the days of work with no answer. It is now Monday January 27 and they never showed up to start the job and no materials were delivered.

Due to their negligence, I have had to take off multiple, multiple days off work to handle this situation, I've received property damage due to their workers negligence (Had sheets of metal fly off the roof when it was windy) hit my garage, fence, and house causing siding damage and breaking the fence. My home is now red-tagged with the city and I have less than 14 days until my homeowners is canceled due to the unsatisfactory work and improper installation. My credit score will be taking a hit due to non-payment and lying about documents to get me to sign them. They have been paid fully due to this factor.

Metal Masters Construction is determined to make this right for Mrs. Atkinson. There is currently a crew on site to remove the previous roofing material, and once they have completed, there will be a second crew moving behind them to install new roofing.

In one word (completion).I need all the window working .

Metal Masters Construction Response • Jan 07, 2020

The homeowner opted to receive a settlement check instead of continuing any further work with Metal Masters. He has already accepted this settlement check.

Five years ago Medal Masters installed my roof on my home and detached garage. They installed it cuz of hail damage and leaking in half bath/garage. The work went well. However now the roof is not just leaking in the half bath it is also leaking in other areas of the home causing black mold and who knows for how long. Over a month ago I reached out to them. Secretary was very nice and sent a guy out to look at the issues the next week. He took pics of the damage inside and in the valley. I waited a week for a response I never got. I called and for some reason the gentleman never even wrote a report. The secretary then told me she had another more experienced gentleman she was sending out to look at the issues. His window for arrival was 12pm-2pm. He was supposed to call me when on his way. No call. I call at 2pm and secretary says he was there and already left stating he seen no problems. I said no way he needs to see damage on the inside. She calls him back to my home while I rush home to let him in. He also takes pictures of damage. I call the following Monday to find out what’s going on only to be told there now going to send the Project Manager on Wednesday with another arrival time of 12pm-2pm cuz he is the roofing “guru” go to guy. For the third time now I make plans to leave work once again to meet with Mr Guru. He is supposed to call when he is 30mins out. 2pm rolls around and guess what......Mr Guru is a no call AND no show. Beyond frustrated yet?? Cuz I surely am. I had already assumed something like this was going to happen so I’ve been making other arrangements which I discussed with the secretary after Mr Gurus no call no show. She ends up calling me back saying now the General Manager would like to come to my property at MY convenience. So I tell the nice secretary that I’m swamped at work but could do early morning 8-830am or 6pm when I get home from work. She tells me done. He will see you at your home at 6pm today. GUESS WHAT.....she calls back and tells me sorry he won’t be able to come at 6 but can in the morning. WOW! I can only hope my experience gets better from here and I can write another review stating only good things. Either way there will be another review written.

Jeremy, we take your concerns very seriously, and made sure your frustrations have been conveyed to our management team. We apologize for the inconveniences, and are looking to get your issues addressed as rapidly as possible. Please make sure to keep in contact with the office in order to have any questions answered. We look forward to you being able to follow up again with us that they've found a resolution to your situation.

Metal Masters really came through when I needed them. My husband and I had to get our house re-sided to meet code after a heavy storm swept through. They completely resided our home, made it look beautiful. Thank you so much Metal Masters.

Metal Masters Construction really saved my bacon. My home had terrible siding when I purchased it, and I knew I'd need to have it replaced sooner or later. Well, county code enforcement decided that time was going to be sooner. They were kind and professional when they came to give me my estimate and inspect my property. The work has been time in a timely manner and saved me a huge amount of headaches. It really looks like a new house now.

In my personal opinion more people who are unhappy leave reviews. I wish to put the spot light on Metal Masters for all their hard work. Some guy showed up at my house with a badge and told me they were in the area and offered my a free estimate. I scheduled my estimate for the next day. The sales man was down to earth and easy to work with. He helped me put my project together within my budget. He told me that I'll get a call from the office in a few days. Never could I have imagined it would be to install my new roof. The installation took 3 days and I could not be more happy. Thank you Metal Masters, I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Would not recommend this company. Does not return calls nor call when they say they will. Leaves the yard a mess. Job is done ok, told me he had never had any complaints against installer in 10 years, yet did not even know he smoked. Hmmm...lots of issues here.
Caveat emptor...Let the Buyer Beware.

If I could leave this company and their lack of customer service ZERO stars, I would. They lie. They say they’re coming out to repair their work and they don’t. They apologize a lot but do nothing but give you the run around when the chips are down. Water is leaking in because the screws are failing. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY TO WORK FOR YOU!

I recently had some roofing installed by Metal Masters Construction. Several months after the loan money had been dispersed to Metal Masters to pay for the service and materials, I received a call from the material supplier (***). It turns out that Metal Masters has not yet paid the material provider for the supplies they installed on my house. Myself and the material supplier have reached out to the Metal Masters folks multiple times over the course of the last 5 weeks trying to resolve the issue. For the last 4 weeks we have received the same response that the owner of the company has the required paperwork and is the only person able to process the payment. There are still some open issues that need to be resolved on the work that was completed, however I am more worried about the supplies being paid for to remove the threat of a lien on my house.

I think they owe me $5642.00 and all they do is keep telling me it is in progress, since end of June 2019. I am thinking the owner has my money in his pocket and is planning his vacation. Will NOT recommend them, because I don't think they are very honest.

A refund was being processed for Ms. Espinoza, and she was notified that refunds take between 30-90 days to process. We paid out the refund within the 90 day window. Unfortunately, Ms. Espinoza passed away in August, approximately one week before the check was cut by the accounting department.

What an amazing company. I have multiple family members and friends that have gotten a metal roof through Metal Masters. Not a single complaint!!! Fast, friendly, curtious, professional, and delivered above and beyond what they promised..

I thank metal master sucks all they do is lie to you they tell I'll be there tomorrow and you wait and wait.then you call and they say that the guy is getting a MRI then they say Saturday and you wait and wait .then you call and they lie some more and watch the paper work because they will slide in the bank papers and try and get you to sign them . its been 8 weeks .I finally told them too go reproduce your self and finished it myself so do your self a favor and have someone and I mean someone else even if you have to do it yourself and that is metal master on Lapeer Road in Kimball townships

Mr. Austin had his work completed to his satisfaction. Mr. Austin hasn't been waiting 8 weeks for this service to be completed - his roof was completed 11/19. Our service tech has been out three times since then - first to secure a piece of flashing that was a concern of Mr. Austin's. Our tech scheduled a second appointment to repair a piece of siding that he found while securing the piece of flashing. On further inspection, the siding was damaged because the wood on Mr. Austin's house is so rotted that it will not hold fasteners in order to hold the siding in place. Our service tech consulted with us and we offered to replace the extra rotted wood FOR FREE for Mr. Austin as opposed to charging him as we normally would. After a final trip to get a material list on 12/21, we have not been back out due to material orders moving slowly during the holidays. We were set to return and finish the repair for Mr. Austin. We are disheartened to hear that Mr. Austin decided not to wait and have the work done at no charge as we agreed.

Did not complete job

Metal Masters Construction Response • May 02, 2018

We take this matter very seriously. We have spoken with the homeowner about their concerns. The material for the repairs requested by the homeowner have been ordered and the material is expected to be in next Friday. As soon as it is in and the installer is available, we will have the work completed.

The roof that Metal Masters put on is leaking and causing damage to the ceiling and drywall. In addition, the bathroom vent is not properly vented. Over the course of a month, six appointments were made, three of which were cancelled. At the last appointment, the roofer told us that we had to hire someone else to create an access to that part of the attic in order for him to see if and where the roof was leaking. Meanwhile, the leak is continuing to cause more damage.

Metal Masters Construction Response • Feb 13, 2018

We have spoken with Mr.. The construction manager has spoken to him pertaining to the leak and the design of Mr. roof preventing access to the space to inspect. After meeting with Mr. on 2/12, we are set to return to Mr. residence after the ice has melted to further inspect the roof and find any further leaks. We are committed to resolving this for Mr..

Near the start of July 2017.metalmasters put a new roof on my home. In doing so they damaged my son's brand new 3 month old trailer. They would not let the installers leave until they had a check in hand from the roofing job. Yet they have been contacted many times over the previous months and still have not paid for the damage THEY caused to my personal property. I have been more than fair in waiting and it is time for them to pay the $2600.00 and take care of their customer.
