I have Lived @ ** *** Road for less than one year, throughout the time of my residency I have endured many issuesMaintenance reports un done, bed bugs, roaches, sexual predators outside my home, I live on the first floor and I found a man pleasing himself and I called the cops, met cap building managers tried to hush it up and nothing was doneI have had my car damaged while being underground throughout the times of construction, they still charged me for my rent space of parking even though legally I shouldn't have been paying, a tenant threw a glass candle holder off the balcony and it broke my sunroof on mothers day their property is a mess, and even though ecstatically the building looks nice it is a slum villethe property constantly has a construction zone going on, have never been able to take my daughter for walks around our building or use our balcony because right outside there is big machines and constructioni have not had a peaceful time and the building manager is very rude to me and does not care about the issues I havemy daughter has asthma and I tried inviting her to see the dust from my vents herself and she refused to come in and see for her selfi cancelled my parking because of my car being damaged and they still charged me for the parking while under a city order, where they should legally not do soi shouldn't have paid, and she persecuted me by calling the cops on my vehicle because I was parked outside my building and I should be able to park for free because of construction/city ordernow I have 500$ of tickets plus that are all from my own address!!! this is not fairi am a single mother young and responsiblemy roommate hardly comes home because she is stressed and same with myselfi feel I have been taken advantage ofi pay market rent for a renovated unit yet nothing was compete when I came, and I lived for months before they fixed my balcony doori am unhappy and know of many other people feeling mislead mistreated and literally sucked drythey want 5+% rent increases on tenants this year...they commit fraud and charge us for parking and manipulate vulnerable people to believe they must be paying hydro all of a sudden, back date entry notices to clean their end, masking emergency water shut downs when really they are working on renovations to the building for new unitscosmetic upgrades, and renovations have become a capital expenditure and tenants pay for it
Metcap in newwestminster bc buys a 39 year old building does some renos to lobbys and re renovates suites that were renovated less than one year ago and now charges more than a brand new building in thesame block Bullys long term tenants to move out so they can take the 39 year old carpets out and double the rent. The manager doesnt even live in the building. Bed bugs in the builing asbestos and mold probably the reason. [redacted] st. If you want a negative experience with high rent this is the place.
