Metco Remodeling Corp. Reviews (1)

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] states "We did not step on his washing machine." Well, sir, you allege that your crew used 4ft ladders only to reach the rim joists, but then why were dirty clothes moved from on top our dryer into a very dirty plastic tub? Could it be because the crew didn't want to navigate the ladder into the area, and reached into the joists by climbing on the dryer instead of their ladder? See attached photos to show where the clothes were on the dryer and the dirty inside of the tub they were placed in. If they didn't climb onto the dryer, then please tell me why did they moved my clothes off it?Mr. [redacted] states "Our crews have stated that the washing machine was not in use at the time." I completely dispute this statement and although the crew was very respectful and worked hard, they are misleading us. Do they not attest to the fact that I was surprised to find that the load of laundry that I had started mysteriously stopped? And would they not attest to the fact that I tried to troubleshoot the problem, while they were right next to me, first by checking the outlet, and then running an extension from a different outlet? And then I called my electrician! Also, I showed Mr. [redacted], and have attached a photo showing the load of laundry that remains soaking in the wash.  Mr. [redacted] states the "washing machine is 20-25 years old and as you know, these machines can break at any time." The washing machine is under ten years old.Mr. [redacted] states that "Mr. [redacted] claims it is just a switch that is broken, and as to that I just don't know if that's the cause to his problem." Nor do I! That is why I would like to find out, and I wish Bruin would be held accountable for servicing it.Mr. [redacted] states "Mr. [redacted] acknowledged when our crew finished and asked him to sign the certificate of completion and pay his customer share balance as per his agreement, which was $30.96, he stated he didn't have the money and he wanted to pay it with an interest-free loan. We offered to forgo the customer share balance of $30.96 as an act of good will and he has demanded $500.00 for a new washing machine." This is totally false. The [redacted] / [redacted] loan is a state program that subsides energy-efficient improvements, and they have been administering the contracts for insulation (windows, and plumbing are separate from insulation/sealing). I told their sales staff when they first called me that I will waiting for the [redacted] loan to be approved before paying, and they said "fine." Just today I received a check from the bank for my home improvements - for plumbing, for windows, and for Bruin Corp's $30.96. (I don't even know how to cancel this check if Mr. [redacted] waives the fee because it may affect our loan requirements. So I'm happy to send it along.) For Mr. [redacted] to say I "didn't have the money" is insulting and false. I also do not demand $500 for a new washing machine. I would have liked a service call to find out what happened, but now that I've already purchased a replacement washer (which cost much more than $30.96 by the way), I would like some recompense, and what seems fair would have be dollar equivalent of what a service call to diagnose and fix the problem would have been, about $350.I just want to say that I don't enjoy complaining. And I have a lot of respect for everyone I've dealt with at Bruin. Sales, the crew, and Mr. [redacted] were all professional. It just seems apparent to me that the washer broke due to what happened on their crew's visit, and Bruin should be accountable. I understand you don't believe that's the case, but isn't that why you are insured? If you don't want to pay, again, I can understand your perspective, but then I would like this exchange available for public record. And to reiterate, I will be sending along the $30.96 as per the original agreement.Regards,[redacted]
