Review: Metered Appliances used to operate the laundry room in my building. In order to pay for the machines, you have to out money on a card, which I did. A few months ago, we were notified that they were pulling their machines out of the building. I had called metered appliances and asked them if I will be reimbursed for the remaining balance on the card. They said yes and told me to mail in the card. I mailed in the card and was told it would take 2 weeks to receive the reimbursement check. I called 3 weeks later (after not having received the reimbursement check) and was told they would not be reimbursing me for the balance on the card because they were no longer in the building.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the remaining balance on the card plus the value of the card itself.

Review: Metered Appliances requires a deposit of $5 for each laundry card which I obtained from my former apartment building when I was in residence there. I was told that upon return of the cards, the deposits would be refunded, as well as any remaining balance on the cards. At the end of January, when I moved from my former residence, I left two cards with a cover letter in a sealed, stapled envelope with my doorman for the Metered Appliance representative. The letter requested return of $10 for the two cards, as well as $6.15 for the remaining balances on the two cards for a total refund of $16.15. After a month elapsed, I called the company and spoke to [redacted] on 2/**. She asked for my new address, which I gave her, and she told me my refund would be mailed. I subsequently called and spoke to [redacted] on 3/**, 5/** and 6/* regarding the fact that I have not received my refund. It is now six months and four phone calls later, and I still have not received my refund. Can you help me? Thank you so much.Desired Settlement: I want Metered Appliances to immediately send me a valid check in the amount of $16.15.

Case ID: [redacted], Was paid by check on 7/**/2014. I have attached a copy of the cancelled check as well as the laundry room sign that explains that the $5 fee is for the card cost which is $3 plus the $2 worth of value preloaded on the card. We paid $6. for the 2 cards plus the $6.15 she said was the value left on her card for a total of $12.15. Review: washing machines malfunction call up to complaint would like to be refunded but was informed to be refunded but after a month didnt received any check this is the second time it happened to me everytime I call thgem up they tell me my name is with the accountant and even I call them up they hang up the phone its only four dollars but some people dont complaint saying its only 2 dollar but its the number that dont complaint that the company get away with it want to be refunded my 4 dollar as long how long as it takeDesired Settlement: refund people of their hard earned money

Review: This company owns the washers and dyers in my building, but never services them despite numerous complaints. They have a phone number listed near the machines that I myself have attempted to call no less than 10 times about broken machines and have only ever spoken to a live person once despite the same number of messages. I am owed at the very least $45 in refunds over the last two years for broken machines and the company fails time and time again to get into contact with me. Machines run for hours at a time often destroying clothes and flooding the basement. They charge a full $2.50/wash and $2.50/dry which seems astronomical enough and at those rates the machines should be in perfect working order.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the amount of at least $45 for money used on broken machines as well as the company to take ownership over the machines and service them appropriately.
