Method Models Reviews (2)

Review: I worked a promotion for this company in January and was told I would be paid in 1 month. I worked once for them before they changed their name to bookedout and was paid with in 3 weeks. It is now nearly april and this company has failed to pay me and another employee that worked that day with me but they already sent off a check for the other person that was working with us. The [redacted] was extremely unprofessional and spent most of her time shopping or drinking rather than giving direction for this particular event and is also the reason why our times were never entered promptly. Ive contacted the girl that booked us [redacted] - ###-###-#### repeatedly about this and it still hasn't been resolved. This is not to mention how they had promised us work, had us get time off from our other jobs and then canceled on us. I have also contacted [redacted] who is the [redacted] ###-###-#### and all she can say is that since it was a late invoice the client hasn't approved it and cant tell me when they will or give us an exact date even though one girl who worked with us was already paid. I am beyond frustrated and just want to know how much longer I have to wait to be paid.Desired Settlement: I would like for both Me and [redacted] to be paid for the work that we did plus extra for all the wasted time we spent trying to get this matter resolved.

Review: I was hired as a last minute replacement for Method Models for an event in May 2013. They do all of their hiring over text message and via this text message they offered me $100 additional to just show up in addition to the $20/hour rate. I worked the event and was owed a total of $280 for the event. After 5 months of inquiry I was finally paid $180 for the event. However, getting even the $180 was difficult. They claimed I never worked the event. After showing them the text messages they sent me a check for $180 saying it was against their "policy" to pay the additional $100. Keep in mind, I was initially offered $50 extra to work the event which I declined. It wasn't until I was offered the additional $100 that I agreed to work the event. I demanded that they pay me the additional $100. This was what I agreed to and this fictitious "policy" was not in place when I agreed to do the job, otherwise I would have never agreed to work the job. Clearly, this was not their policy, they started their extra amount at $50 and then raised the amount to $100 due to desperate times. This doesn't sound like a policy. Regardless, Method Models now refuses to pay me the additional $100 which I am rightfully owed even after showing the text messages proving the agreement. Method Models is a very disorganized company that practices deceitful business tactics. I hope this report allows others to become aware of this and prevents it from happening to them. Thank you so much for your time.Desired Settlement: I would like to be paid the $100 I am owed. If not, I would like the Revdex.com to make others aware of the unfair business practices Method Models uses so they don't succumb to similar situations.
