Review: On June 26, 2014 I called my Insurance carrier MetLife to get a quote ONLY for my daughter to be added to my insurance. I explicitly told the Customer Service rep that I was getting other quotes (which is my legal right) and DID NOT want he added to the policy at that moment. She refused to give me a quote (which I have experienced in the past also with this company) and she stated I HAD to add her. As much as I told her I did not want her added at the moment and I had to actually hang up in the woman because she would not listen to what I was saying; and she added her anyway raising my insurance cost an outrageous amount that I did not agree to.Desired Settlement: I expect a full and complete refund of the amount they charged me without permission and a letter of apology. I work in customer service and I know how this works. I am also on medical leave at the moment and this will affect my already decreased income by a large amount which I cannot afford at this time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I had a claim processed by Metlife Insurance company and entire experience was not smooth.
1. Metlife was very slow to accept the claim.
2. Took about a month to confirm if they will accept the responsibility.
3. Improper communicatin.
4. Didn't cover complete loss

My mother died on Oct. 13, 2013. I can not get Metlife to send a packet to file her universal life insurance claim. They have verified that they can see her policy and that it is active, but they will not send the appropriate mail or forms to get her claim started. Her funeral was Oct. 19, 2013, and the funeral has not been paid for. Upon first contacting them, they told my sister, and I, and the funeral home that GE(her former employer) had to start the claim. Then On Jan. 8th, someone on the phone from Metlife finally verified that it was their place in fact to mail out the paper work to start the claim on the portable insurance universal packet...The paper work that they promised to send never arrived.
