This firm is counsel to Me Too LLC of New York, New York ("Me Too"), the owner of the ME TOO trademarks worldwide as applied to shoes and various fashion accessories. Me Too is also the owner of the website [redacted] through which ME TOO-branded shoes are sold online.

As you can see from the detailed Complaint accompanying this letter, a company in Vietnam registered the domain name [redacted], virtually identical to the domain name of our client's with the addition of an extra "e" in "me". They then hacked into our client's website and copied Me Too' s Order Confirmation page. Thereafter, they sent copies of Mee Too's Order Confirmation page to untold random E-mail addresses that were not customers of our client confirming phantom made up orders.

This piracy act resulted in our client's website being crashed from people receiving E­ mails similar to the one you received and thousands of phone calls being placed in one day to our client's offices. Since these hackers are in Vietnam it is difficult to trace them but our client's security features in its website have been fortified and we have filed a Complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to gain possession of the counterfeit website so that these hackers no longer have a platform to scam people.

Interestingly enough, we are not aware of anyone's credit card that was actually charged or anyone that actually was scammed out of money. However, we apologize for the inconvenience and stress this may have caused you and my client would like for you to select a free pair of shoes from their website as a means of apologizing to you. Review: Last January I purchased a pair of MeToo boots at DSW in Paramus. After wearing no more than 10 times the back of both boots began to come apart. I contacted MeToo shoes directly via email. I provided photos of the issue with the boots. The customer service representative offered to replace the boots however they did not have any boots left in stock in my size and I was not interested in a pair of flats to replace my boots. The representative recommended that I contact them again this season and they would replace my boots with another pair of boots if I was willing to wait that long. I replied that I was willing and contacted them this season around Christmas time via email. I explained that I could not find the previous email correspondence but there should be a record of it, as it was explained to me last year. I did not receive a reply so I sent another email which I did not receive a reply to either. At that time I attempted to contact the company via telephone. I left multiple messages on different extensions due to the fact that if I chose to leave a message in the main mailbox the line would disconnect. Multiple attempts were made on different days and times. I was not able to reach a live representative. At that time I tried two more times to reach them via online email on their website with no success. These boots cost me over $100. Also, I loved these boots. I spent a couple of days picking them out and was so thrilled with the fit. I merely want my boots replaced or my money refunded at this time so I could get a new pair myself. I am shocked not to receive any response from the company after such a quick response last year.Desired Settlement: My boots replaced or my money refunded.

Review: I bought Me Too Nini Flats online from [redacted]. I have been buying them for three years, for $49.95.

This summer, I ordered new pairs from [redacted] and the shoes were completely re-designed. It didn't say anywhere in the DSW description that these shoes were different. There is still a picture of the old shoe design, and the price is still $49.95. For the same price, I received shoes of inferior quality. Where the old shoes were true to size, these were much too short. The old design was curved to the shape of my feet; the new design is straight and stiff. I had to return the shoes.

This is a scam, selling re-designed, inferior product under the same Me Too Nini name and price. Now, [redacted] might not be aware that the shoe design has changed. It is up to Me Too Shoes to submit a new picture of the shoe and explain that the shoe has been redesigned.

It's dishonest that this shoe is masquerading as the same shoe they've been selling for years, because there are lots of consumer reviews on [redacted] that go back years about the Nini flat. So customers will read these reviews, and have no idea they are not referring to the new shoe.Desired Settlement: I want Me Too to change their product description and picture on [redacted] so that customers are aware that they are buying a new shoe. I want the old customer reviews about the shoe removed from the DSW site, because they do not apply to the new shoe.
