I went to Super Lube on Pembina (out of location convenience) for an estimate/diagnosis on why my car was low on coolant. Within an hour I got a call with an $1800 estimate to fix three leaks that their technician had apparently found. I returned to my usual mechanic for a second opinion, who found NO leaks but found instead that the fan needed to be fixed. My bill was $85. Needless to say, I won't waste my time with the free estimate from Super Lube again - had I been naive enough to trust their "expert" opinion, I would have been out $1800 and still would not have fixed the problem.
Super Lube has been our "go to" repair shop for years. We used to go to the Pembina Hwy location, where Ray was a top notch fellow to deal with. He and the guys there saved our 1982 truck a few years ago, and it's still running strong today!
Now we go to the Portage Ave location. Lance and the guys there are wonderful! We've never had a bad experience with them, and they've kept all of our vehicles in excellent condition!

I was in for an oil change today, December 13/2016 at the 2028 Pembina Super lube location. As I was waiting, I was asked by the technician if I wanted an overall fluid top-up for an additional 99 cents. I agreed, and upon reviewing my bill after, it shows $3.99 for the fluid top-up. I would have never agreed to this [redacted] as I have just topped up my fluids recently and was not expecting an over charge [redacted] vocally quoted one thing and charged another on paper. It's the principle that matters. When an employee states one thing and you agree to it based on what they say, you shouldn't have something else on a quote after the fact based on what you agreed to in the first place.
My wife and I have been taking our cars to Pete and his team at Super Lube for a couple of years now. Really appreciate the honest feedback and no nonsense approach to addressing the problems at hand. Refreshing not to be continually up sold to services you are not sure you require.
