According to our records [redacted] did call our office. She spoke with Carrie and was told as long as the payment was in this office by July 3rd 2015 she would be fine. The late fee would kick in on July 6, 2015. This is not the first time [redacted] has been late....
It has never been our policy to go by the date a payment is mailed. The payment is considered made once it has reached our office. If it is not in the office on the day before the late fee, we do not waive late fees. We are a second chance finance company and mainly deal with customers who have bad credit and do not pay in a timely manner. As explained to [redacted], when she makes a payment the funds go towards any fees on the account and then are applied to her monthly payment. At this time [redacted] is more than 15 days past due for this month's payment. At this time time we suggest [redacted] make her payment to avoid further fees and collection efforts.
