Metro Delivery Reviews (26)

We regret any inconvenience that the homeowner may have experienced with the Welcome Box delivered to their door.  The Welcome Box is a welcome gift for closing of their new home that contains discount cards...

that can be activated and used at their convenience at local businesses. The delivery tag that is left on the door by the delivery company (Metro Delivery) is to ensure that the homeowner received the Welcome Box. Neither Nu Home Promotions nor any of its clients will call any consumers unless that consumer has first given their consent to be contacted.  While we have now removed the homeowner’s name and number from our database, it may take a little time to completely remove the homeowner’s information  from the system. In the event the homeowner receives a call from another company in the meantime, they should request that company not call them again.  If we can be of any further assistance to remedy this situation, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

Regards,[redacted]

We apologize for the

inconvenience [redacted] experienced with the Metro Delivery drivers

leaving door tags on his door.  It was

the drivers attempt to deliver a Welcome Home package.  The welcome package is a gift for the closing

of his new home with discount cards that...

can be activated and used at his

convenience. We also apologize if he

was called by other companies who obtained his information.  Mr. [redacted] must tell each company “Do not call me again.”  This statement should stop future calls from that vender. We have removed [redacted]' name and number from our database so he will not be contacted by

our company again. If we can be of any further assistance to remedy this situation please do not

hesitate to contact me directly.Tell us why here...

This company left a flier on my door that stated "sorry we missed you" with my hand written address and a 1st attempt box checked. I called because I thought it was our home warranty company and after being on hold for some time I queried online and found numerous complaints about this company so I hung up. A representative called me back today after noticing my attempt to call them. When I told them I was uninterested the representative said "thanks and have a good day you dumb [redacted]". I was completely appalled. This company should not be able to solicit in this manner.

Hello, Thank you for writing back. I've seen this response to several complaints, unfortunately, it doesn't explicitly address my request. There was no "gift" left at my door. I know that other people have said you've left coupons and other items, however no such box or bag was left at my door. The only thing I received was a piece of paper with a "Sorry we missed you" message, and a confirmation number with my name on it. The second of these notices came in after I had gotten home one night, and before I left for work the next day. This is a very short window of time, and all of the hours encompassed by this time period are incredibly inappropriate times to be visiting someone's house. Not only that, but both notices I received were marked as "Second Attempts" to deliver this mysterious gift, which indicates that there's no actual record keeping for this company as to how often they have attempted delivery. This company took my name and address from public records, and is using it to advertise inappropriately at my house. I do not accept the previous response and will not, until it is expressly stated that no further notices will be left at my door, and my information will be deleted from this company, and any affiliated company's distribution lists. I am deeply disturbed by the horror stories I have read about this company, and I don't wish any further contact from them. Thank you again. [redacted].

Please be advised we are want to resolve this matter to everyone's satisfaction.  What would resolve this matter for  Revdex.com complaint #[redacted]?  Thank you for your attention.

We have now removed [redacted] name and number from our database we will not contact [redacted] again.

This business has not called us. They have physically came onto our property 2 times now. I would like for them to confirm that we will not be contacted in any manner which will include solicitation to our residence.

This is the most absurd response and excuse I've seen.  They are lying.  You don't leave a welcome gift and a note that says "sorry we"be missed you" with out ringing a doorbell or knocking on a door.  These are attempts to sell my information by TRICKING me into calling the number of the fake delivery slip.  This is definitely Bait and Switch.  The victim thinks they missed a package only to call the number on the front of the slip.  The back has the verbiage that their information will be sold and used by agents or affiliates.
[redacted], I have never heard of NuCards or NuHomes.  I'd like evidence of where I submitted and acknowledgment to allow Metro Delivery visit my home, or NuHomes to contact me.

I reject the business response as they should not be attempting to deliver any solicitations to my door as it is clearly marked "No Soliciting".  Why do they feel they are exempt from my preemptive sign that is posted?
Additionally, to now say they were attempting to deliver their solicitations without so much as knocking or ringing the bell is not accurate.  They made no attempt to actually contact me as they did not knock or ring the bell.  If they had, I would have reminded them they were trespassing and and leaving unwanted junk on my door.  Reason being, if one calls their number the company will then sell the phone number to anyone for additional junk calls, mail, etc.  The business feels it is in their best interest to have people unwittingly call to then sell the phone number for greater revenue.
Furthermore, it appears their note that was stuck to my door is once again violating FTC judgment from 2013 where the business was fined for delivering solicitations that were misleading and making it appear that a legitimate mail service was attempting to deliver a package to my home.
The business's actions are unacceptable and they continue to trespass and solicit against consumer wishes.

We apologize for the inconvenience [redacted] experienced with the Metro Delivery drivers leaving a door tag on his door.  It was the drivers attempt to deliver a Welcome Home package.  The welcome package is a gift for the closing of his new home with gift cards that...

Please be advised nuHome Promotions has removed Ms. [redacted] from our nuHome Promotions  data base. We have placed Ms. [redacted] on our Do Not Call List.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I accept that they have removed my name from their contact list. However, this does not absolve them of their shady business practices. There is no "delivery" waiting for me, they already left the welcome package at my door. The door tag was a scheme to get me to call their number so that I would be automatically be opted into receiving their marketing promotions. The "Welcome Package" is not a bunch of Gift Cards, as they claim them to be, but coupons, which you also have to call to activate. These "gift cards" can only be used if you purchase a certain amount of goods and services from the local vendors. This company should not be allowed to use the term "gift card" in its promotions.I would like their Revdex.com grade lowered, to reflect their deliberately deceptive business practices.

Regards,

We have updated our records to insure that NuHome Promotions nor Metro Delivery will not make a delivery to your property again.

Metro Delivery left a note on my door while I was home saying it was their second attempt to deliver a package (there was no first attempt), and asking me to call a number and give a reference number. But I did not order anything and have no dealings with this company.

Dear [redacted],We attempted to deliver a welcome package to the customer’s home. Metro Delivery, LLC, DBA Total Home Delivery, is not in the practice of selling alarm systems and/or services, nor are we a scam of any sort. Our website clearly defines...

our privacy policies which explain how we handle data, including an option for the customer to opt out.We have taken the customer out of our database.Sincerely,[redacted]CEOMetro Delivery, LLC

Pretends to be a delivery company called Frontline Delivery. Young lady didn't even ring the door bell or knock, just silently came up and stuck the "Sorry we missed you" note on our door with a number to call (I watched her do it, I can describe her and her car she drove) After research, it seems they want you to call the number so they can gather information on you to sell to other companies do they can solicit you for business. Might be a way around the Do Not Call rules as well. Shady company if you ask me.

A representative from this company left a note on our front door which said in large letters, "SORRY WE MISSED YOU!" The note is formatted in such a way as to trick us into thinking that they had a delivery for us even though they are selling home security systems.
We did not contact them first, and do not appreciate them leaving a large notice telling everyone who drove down our street that we were not home.
When I called to complain, the "manager" told me that the note was supposed to have been left in my mailbox. (Which is not legal, is it?)
