Dear Sirs,In response to the above mentioned complaint, here is what really happened in this above situation:Customer called and spoke with the owner & salesman. She was then transferred to financing. She gave her information and said that she would have her husband call back with his...

information. No call was received for several days.  The customer call back a couple times and wanted assurance on the condition of the motorcycle. This unit was originally purchased from our dealership new and traded back in with 771 documented miles. Customer never came to the dealership to personally inspect the motorcycle until she came to purchase it. After telephone negotiation on this used bike and confirmation on price the customer brought in a cashiers' check from an outside bank.  Customer inspected motorcycle in the dealership and accepted it in as is condition.  Advertisement  stated unit has 771 miles and was not new. When the customer purchased the unit, it had 789 documented miles. AFTER signing and completing all paperwork, [redacted] insisted on Veterans plates. We called our local titling company and asked what she would need to do to get these and if there was an extra charge. We told the customer that she would need her DD214 (Honorable Discharge)and her ID that matched the name. The customer was told these needed to be in within 10 days. The Customer said she would email it or text form as soon as she found it. We called the customer 3 times, leaving 2 voicemails. The last voicemail said we needed the form by Thursday at the latest, due to regulations in filing deadline of 10 days from purchase. Customer was charged standard License fee of $136.00.(documents in file). Customer called on Friday 8/26 to let us know she would provide the DD214 on Saturday 8/27/16, which was after the deadline, and we advise the customer that her documentation was already submitted to the state. Customer DID NOT PAY any extra fee for custom or veteran plates. We still tried to stop the plate issue and contacted our licensing service to submit the DD214 in order to help the customer with the veteran plate issue, however, the licensing service rejected the documents provided (DD214) because the name wasn't the same as on the purchase paperwork. WE waited a total of 2 weeks for the customer to provide ANY papers, and the dealership was jeopardizing our good standings with the Secretary of State if we didn't submit, as we told the customer.  In reference to the battery, we replaced the battery with a new one, at no charge to the customer after she told us that she was having problems with it (even though this was not a warranty item, out of good faith) and we never had problems with the battery while it was at the dealership and we had to move the vehicle out of the showroom daily. We have no reason to believe the previous owner would have damaged it. It is quite possible that this customer may have done this herself, trying to make the dealership out to be something that it isn't.  And as for the tool kit, if it wasn't traded in with the tool kit, then we wouldn't have one to give to her, as this is a per-owned vehicle purchased "AS IS". We sent the e-mail notification to the customer telling her that her plates were in and that they were not Veterans plates because the paperwork she submitted had a different name on them. Customer called the dealership making false allegations and trying to get something for nothing. We offered full disclosure to the customer from the beginning. The owner of the dealership (a Woman) called the customer to try to settle her down, and the customer was belligerent and yelling at her saying that she was going to slander the dealership all over social media if we didn't give her what she wanted and proceeded to hang up on the owner.  The customer was very happy when she left the dealership with the motorcycle. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contace me at [redacted]Sincerely,[redacted]Co-Owner, MetroEast Motorsports
