Metro Pain Associates Reviews (2)

Revdex.com: I have read the response from Metro Pain Clinic and I do not agree with it I was not informed by anyone they needed the urine specimen for random drug testing I was only there for a follow up visitI did not intend to receive pain management treatments every three months this is what they were trying to set me up with but I said I was not interestedThey had me sign papers which the man just lifted up and told me to sign my error was not reading them, I had no idea he was having me sign a drug testing form My question is why would I ok this when I have used very very little pain medicine in my life and I had no intentions of going back there and let alone paying for something I didn't need! This was fraud in every sense of the word and in talking with my insurance company I was informed of the many ways doctors try to get more money out of the insurance companyI did sign the form obviously they sent me a copy but I can assure you I did not know anything about it or the drug testing - *** ***

In an attempt to resolve the issue our office explained that we do random drug screening to ensure we are abiding by the laws and statues of our state. Regardless if a patient is on opioids or not, we still test for a panel of medications. Having this safeguard in place has been very helpful in...

identifying suspected abusers which has been a tool against fighting the drug epidemic that our community is facing. All our patients are brought into a separate part of our office that has a sign on the door that says lab. Before obtaining any specimen, the lab tech asks a series of questions including what medications are you taking. Each patient is asked to read and sign a one-page form giving the laboratory authorization to collection a urine specimen, test the urine and bill their insurance for these tests. Upon discovery that said person was upset when he/she came into our waiting room and made it bluntly clear that he/she was dissatisfied with our office we offered to have the Ethos toxicology lab manager, [redacted] call the patient and discuss options for the billing of their services. Our office prides itself on the quality of care that we provide every single patient that walks through our door. Sent on: 7/27/2017 3:20:31 PM
