Dear Sir,I have a problem with a steel tiled roof on my house, the granular coating is breaking down and showing the steel underneath the tiles The roof was contracted & payed for by the previous owner of my house in June 2002, but a document for subsequent owners warranty was never given to me when I bought the house in and there were no defects to the roof tiles granular covering.until it started the last months.of this year What is the point of all this, document or no document, the tile is defective and does not comply with their advertisement on the internet Its only lasted years at the most & I have had composite roofs last 20-years easy Metro roofing is the company manufacturing the defective steel roof tiles.and their warranty is years and twenty five years for the granular coating covering the tilesThey will not talk to me now, although they made promises in the past , & just lie & deny everything & using the excuse due to this document warranty not being transferred within days when I bought the propertyI had no contact with the previous owner as he went out of stateThe tiles on my house are obviously defective and will have to come off and be replace in the near future, as I will have to comply to the home owners associationI did send pictures on a previous e mail yesterday or resend if you need them and the Santa Clarita building permit as I did to Metro some time ago I was talking to [redacted] *** of Metro Roof Products and have left messages to the ceo of the company with no reply [redacted] [redacted] Telext [redacted] FaxI would like to add that when I bought the house the granular coatings tile was all intact, I didn't know at the time if the roof leaked or not, but found out later it was good and no leaks, so the roof installers contracted had done a good jobI had the house inspection when I bought it, to comply with the mortgage company on the property and that report from four walls and a roof was good The roof can be seen on google just before I bought it Metro warranty is worthless anyway, at their discretion, they may provide you with more of their defective tiles but you pay again for its installation which doesn't make sense to buy another set of defective tilesThis is nothing but a cheap scam by this company and its nothing but extortion by asking the public to keep paying keep paying for their defective tiles and contracted labor to replace them There is an incorrect address on the top of the form and my address is [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] Regards [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] There actually is no warranty .they have harped on about this transfer of ownership within days, but the real truth is, at their discretion, if you get lucky they may replace your roof with another load of defective tiles but then they will charge you for the re installation of tiles on the roofI have talked to the people who installed this metal roof, and they told me thisso the consumer cannot win and they have never offered anything to rectify this complaint and I have kept all e mails sent by them I told them I was not the owner at the time the metal roof was installed & it was their product was the problemThe truth is their product isn't up to what they claim and if it was something close to the years they claim for the cosmetic look of the tile, we would not have this complaintRegards [redacted]

Beware of company's metro and boral and their metal stone coated tiles, it would be far more cost effective to go composite if you can,
once you have a problem with these panel tiles they may give a replacement of their tiles but they will try, or expect you to pay for the labor to remove and replace the panel tiles. My roof with metro only lasted around 12 years. This makes business a good thing foe the company and contractor

I received notice of consumer complaint #*** on Friday, 16January Please find our response below to the complaint aftersome research into the specificsIn trying to file this response on line, Idiscovered the complaint is closedThis may be in error as thisresponse is being sent within week of notice.Response:Like other manufacturers of roofing materials, Metro requires writtennotice of change of ownership of the roof to be sent by the ownerThisperiod for transferring the Metro warranty is within days from changeof ownershipOther manufacturers request that notification be madebetween to days of ownership transferThe roof at *** *** ** *** *** was never registered by the originalpurchaser, nor has there been a notification regarding transfer ofownershipAdditionally, Metro offers the same remedy as othermanufacturers for defective products, that being replacement roofingmaterials, but this is considered worthless by *** ***, as perthe last sentence in the complaintIt seems that *** ***, whodid not originally purchase the Metro roof, will not find satisfaction underthe terms of the Metro or other major roofing manufacturer's standardwarranties.*** ***Operations

Dear Sir,I have a problem with a steel tiled roof on my house, the granular coating is breaking down and showing...

the steel underneath the tiles . The roof was contracted & payed for by the previous owner of my house in June 2002,  but a document for subsequent owners warranty was never given to me when I bought the house in 2012 and there were no defects to the roof tiles granular covering.until it started the last 6 months.of this year.
What is the point of all this, document or no document, the tile is defective and does not comply with their advertisement  on the internet .
Its only lasted 12 years at the most & I have had composite roofs last 20-25 years easy
Metro roofing is the company manufacturing the defective steel roof tiles.and their warranty is 50 years and twenty five years for the granular coating covering the tiles. They  will not talk to me now, although they made promises in the past , & just lie & deny everything  & using the excuse due to this document warranty not being transferred within 30 days when I bought the property. I had no contact with the previous owner as he went out of state. The tiles on my house are obviously defective and will have to come off and be replace in the near future, as I will have to comply  to the home owners association. I did send  pictures on a previous e mail yesterday or resend if you need them and the Santa Clarita building permit as I did to Metro some time ago.
I was talking to  [redacted]  of Metro Roof Products and have left messages to the ceo of the company with no reply
[redacted] [redacted] Tel. ext. [redacted] Fax.
I would like to add that when I bought the house the granular coatings tile was all intact, I didn't know at the time if the roof leaked or not, but found out later it was good and no leaks, so the roof installers contracted had done a good job. I had the house inspection when I bought it, to comply with the mortgage company on the property and that report from four walls and a roof  was good.  The roof can be seen on google just before I bought it
Metro warranty is worthless anyway,  at their discretion, they may provide you with more of their defective tiles but you pay again for its installation which doesn't make sense to buy another set of defective tiles. This is nothing but a cheap scam by this company and its nothing but extortion by asking the public to keep paying
keep paying for their defective tiles and contracted labor to replace them.
There is an incorrect address on the top of the form and my address is [redacted] [redacted]  [redacted]      [redacted] [redacted]
