Metro Sign & Design

Review: I believe Metro Sign & Design is operating in an illegal matter. The landlord for the bakery we own requested that we (and the two businesses next to ours) change our awning. He has very specific rules as to how he wanted this done. Metro Sign and Design came for an estimate and took a deposit of $1,500 back on Dec ** 2014. That check was cashed immediately without any work or contract being settled at all. It turns out that the landlord no longer wants to use this company anymore because he said the salesperson failed to deliver a license and instead works alongside another company who may be providing it for him. When I did a [redacted] search for this business, the address on the invoice (in flushing) is different from the address online (in manhattan). The address on the invoice that I provided for this complaint is also blurry which is why it may be wrong. It appeared very fishy to me. When I called the salesperson to talk about this matter and demand my money back, he said he would get back to me, and I have yet to hear from him.Desired Settlement: We would like our $1500 dollars back.
