Response: Metro was notified on 3/24/17 of patient billing query made to the physicians office by the physician office manager. Metro investigated patient account balance and noted to the physician office manager that payment had been received by the patient's insurance company and the balance...

forward is the required patient responsibility. As per Metro protocol, billing statements would be mailed to patient's address on file so payment can be made easily through the mail or over the phone. Metro felt this answer to the physicians office was sufficient and would be communicated to the patient as it was the office he was calling. Metro was again contacted on April 11 2017 by the physician office stating the patient was contacting them regarding the same issue despite previous explanation made to the office of the status of the patient account. At this time Metro had a billing specialist contact the patient directly and explain the billing process and his balance due. Patient set up payment plan with billing specialist and patients account denotes he was satisfied with the resolution.
