On 10/1/2015, I had standard lab work performed by them I received a bill on January for $ The bill seemed high as if they did not file with my insurance company I called to inquire and was told it appeared they did not file They stated they would file and get back to me Today, March 2016, I received a call from a collection agency for this $ I called the lab's billing department to ask what was going on They claimed they submitted and my insurance denied it They said they tried to contact me but could give no information on how (mail, phone courier etc) I never received anything from them except the initial bill I called my insurance provider ( [redacted] ***) who stated they submitted it with incorrect codes and so it was rejected and returned to them to resubmit with correct codes Instead of doing that, they just turned it over to a collection agency This has happened before with them They seem unable to properly submit to insurance comp
