I went into the Metro PCS: Tablet Solutions store on [redacted] on June 26,2015 to purchase a new phone. I purchased two devices ([redacted] and a [redacted]) valued at $300 together and two phone cases then selected to finance all of it through [redacted] leasing. The representative at the store would not give me details about the contract because he said it was "unavailable" to him since the contract was through a third party company. I left the store with the phones, no contract, no receipt and was told [redacted] would send me information about when they will start debiting from my bank account. I didn't sign a contract in store and was not given any information about payment amounts, dates, etc. A few days later I received a letter from [redacted] that outlined (very briefly) the payment schedule and the amount of the contract. Originally I thought the amount listed $887.43 was the payoff amount if I paid the payments over a years time. I thought this amount was calculated to include interest. I called a representative at [redacted] and I was informed that that amount is the payoff amount if I pay within 90 days. If I continue the lease over a year's time my total costs would be 1,755.39! The store sent over a payment request for $887.43 when I only spent half that amount in store. She told me to return to the store and they would be able to credit [redacted] with the difference. When I returned to the store, the representative told me once again, he did not have access to the information about the contract. It's difficult to believe that both companies can operate in this manner. Apparently, the stores are not required to prove what I actually purchased and neither side is actively working to get the matter resolved.Desired SettlementI would like to have my [redacted] leasing account credited for the overage I am expected to pay. I want to pay off the account within the 90 day time frame to avoid additional costs HOWEVER I'm unwilling to pay any additional amount that I'm not responsible for. I feel it is the duty of every party involved MetroPCS (since the store is an "authorized" dealer), MetroPCS Tablet Solutions, Inc. and [redacted] to correct this and to prevent this from happening to other customers.
