Review: I made appointment for the dentist which was 01/**/2016 at 9:00, the day of appt I was there for the appt at 8:41 am I waited 2 hour and 30 min just to take x-rays then was placed back in waiting room for hours when you ask the worker they have no answers they make all these appt around the same time and can't accommodate all of the patients .Desired Settlement: To better serve the patients and give answers to the question to the patients when asked and not to over book so that patients will not be waiting long time.

To whom it may concern I am writing this complaint about metropolitan dental Associates Which is located at [redacted], On Saturday January [redacted] 2016 I had an appointment in which I indicated that I needed my tooth to be repaired which was causing me pain, I inform the person who answered the phone to make my appointment that I was having pain that I need to see the dentist as soon as possible in which they gave me that appointment on the 01/**/2016 .I arrived for my appointment at 8:40 a.m. on the on January [redacted] in addition to that I waited two and a half hours before getting a x-rays taken for my teeth .then I waited another 2 hours before seeing the dentist , I had to go back and ask several of times in which the workers act like they didn't know what was going on. Files was mixed up ,people who was coming in later than I was seen before me and I asked again and they said I had four people ahead of me before seeing the dentist . I still waiting a while and went back to ask again ,and they said I had to wait for the hygienist to get my teeth cleaned ,when I have a toothache and I'm wondering how is that going to clean my teeth when I have a toothache, but she said that I had to wait and the doctor was going to come and evaluate my situation ,and tell me what going to be done ,so I inform the dentist when he came into the room about my tooth was hurting me and I wanted that taken care of first , I told them several times about my tooth is still wanted to clean it. In addition, telling me about everything else except what I came for the tooth that is hurting on my bottom left side. Instead telling about another that does not, even hurt and they want to put it out on the same day. at the time and there was talking about bridges ,and they need to get approval for that before they do anything but I'll informing them that I need for my tooth to be fixed because it was hurting me and it still is today but the dentist says that my insurance would not pay for the tooth again 6 and then pay for the wait for the present on the same tooth .I would not be able to get bridges on that same side where the tooth what's her name if I get it repaired on that Saturday so now there saying I couldn't get any work done and was ready to make me another appointment to come back on Monday , where are waited almost 8 hours for nothing, I think that this clinic is very unprofessional and they are misleading their patience please investigate this situation on my behalf I would appreciate it very much .Thank you [redacted].

Review: I paid $471 to metropolitan dental on 8/**/13 for crown work using the my companies [redacted] for flex plan purchases, prescriptions and transit. The services have not been rendered in any capacity. I had every intention of resubmitting the payment, however, there was a glitch with the flex plan card - questioning the amount.

I called to see if the amount could be refunded. I was told yes - that I needed to come in and fill out the paper work and that it would take two weeks. I went into the office and requested in person that amount to be refunded on 8/** and filled out the paper work. I called a month later on Friday [redacted] and the paperwork wasn't processed and there was no record of the paperwork being submitted. I provided the card number and all of the details again and I was assured it would be processed. I also asked that they call the flex plan carrier to confirm the $471 amount so they could unlock my card. I called today and they never received a call from Metropolitan Dental. I called the office back and there still was no record of my request.Desired Settlement: I need the $471 returned to my card immediately.

Review: I have been denied a patient refund for over $800, for services that were not rendered with the excuse that they don't have my patient records. But when I personally visited the office in July (we are in September) they mentioned they had to look for it in their basement. The don't return phone calls, constantly hang up when I call. They are not willing to look for the file and are now claiming some law doesn't require them to refund my money.Desired Settlement: Please help me get my full refund back.

Response:

Patient is asking for a refund from over 7 years ago. We destroy our records after 7 years as allowed by law. We have no proof of payment and neither does patient. If patient can prove that he paid $800.00 and what for we would be willing to help him. But obviously someone asking for a refund 7 years later with no proof will be treated by our office as suspect.

Thank You

At this time, I have not been contacted by Metropolitan Dental Associates regarding complaint ID [redacted].

I have contacted them several times and the billing manager is never available. I found and mailed the statement they required about a month ago and still have not heard back from them.

Sincerely,

Review: I called and made an appt. to go in on July **, 2015 at 5:15PM; I explained I had pain in a tooth on the botton right side and wanted it pulled. They attempted to take my money that evening and give me a x-ray and exam knowing that the surgery section was closed. I made an appt. to come in the next day. I arrived at appt. time and completed necessary paper work and was told I had to pay 175.00 for x-ray and exam; which I paid and sat in waiting area for approximately 2.5 hours before being seen. The x-ray tech asked was in pain and I said yes, she proceeded with x-rays and then placed me in a room to be examined. The dentist apologized for the extremely long wait and quickly examined me. the hygenist then took me to the surgery department. The surgery department told me I had to pay another 150.00 for x-rays and exam prior to having an extraction. I just paid 175.00 and had x-rays done 30 minutes ago why would I be charged a second time within the same day same facility. They began to say oh its a diffeerent company then stating I needed a referral (Remember I am self pay no referral necessary).Bottom line they never disclosed that I would be charged from 2 sets of X-rays and exams to have one extraction. This company is very deceiving in it billing practices and is milking insurance companies and self-pay patients. I am still in pain and will have to go somewhere else to have the tooth extractedDesired Settlement: I am seeking to have the 175.00 refunded. If I would of known that I was required to pay for 2 sets of X-rays and exams I would of never went there. Why would someone pay twice for the same services within a half hour apart.
