Review: Metropolitan Eye Associates, PLLC is attempting to bill me -after they have attempted to fraudulently bill my insurance- for services they did not perform, nor were they authorized to perform. I have came to them for the simple eye exam, based on my Primary Care Physician recommendation as a potential link to my frequent headaches.

Metropolitan Eye Associates, repeatedly attempted to bill my insurance for headache diagnosis, even though they have not performed that service. I have been in contact with my insurance ([redacted]), who advised me that Metropolitan Eye Associates needs to readjust their billing to Eye Exam Only and not bill for service they were not authorized to perform.Desired Settlement: Fix the fraudulent billing information to reflect the actual service performed (Eye exam only) and resubmit to [redacted].

Review: I started my contact lenses 'quest' on March 8, 2014. It's almost August and I have not gotten my lenses even though I paid $250 for them in March before I left my first appointment (They asked for a deposit for trial lenses). My insurance paid for the full eye exam. I asked for my prescription to be faxed to me & received a call from Dr B[redacted] to justify my request. He manner is distasteful, her staff unprofessional and since she 'merged' with Eye Doctors of Washington it's all gone further down the drain. She is not good at getting ones vision corrected, has a bit of an attitude when you tell her you can't see well as if you are inconveniencing HER by not seeing clearly. At one point I had to wait 5 weeks for a trial pair of contact lenses- they were supposed to arrive within 2 weeks, but her office kept telling me (when I could get a person on the phone that is) "they will be here today!" She didnt even apologize. I complained at least 4 times about the delay, lack of service & communication. Few other examples: Her staff is rude, unhelpful, they dont call back, they dont check their voicemail, there is no follow up, they are condescending, etc. One appointment I made I had to cancel & did it with 24+hour notice. Nobody answered the phone when I called, so I left a message. Then the day of the canceled appointment I got call from the office asking me where I was. I told them I had left them a voicemail canceling to which they replied "oh.yeah, we don't check our voicemail." I emailed Dr. B[redacted] on 7/10/2041 telling her I was going on vacation 8/9 & that even though my vision w/ these contact lenses was not good (it's actually crap & probably the worst I have ever had), I just wanted to be done & to get/order whatever lenses I could because I needed to see&function. She said I was paid up for a 6-month supply and I agreed we'd order as much. I've since emailed her on 7/29 &7/30 to check if the lenses have been ordered. She hasnt replied. I called the office 7/29 &7/30. On 7/29 somebody answered the phone but told me they had no lenses for me & would have to wait for Dr B[redacted] to be in the office on 7/30) in order to tell me if my lenses have been ordered. When they finally told me the contacts had been ordered they said it was done June 8. If they ordered those they are 1)wrong Rx; 2) almost 2 months late. They told they would ship Aug 1,but refuse to tell when they expected them to arrive. When asked if I could have them before Aug8, they refused to answer only repeating 4 times they are shipping out August 1. The front desk staff is either clueless or rude over the phone. Dr. B[redacted] was with Metropolitan Eye Associated & has merged with [redacted]. Nobody bothered to tell us, her patients, about it OR that her email address had changed OR that she no longer has Saturday hours - which is what initially drew me to this office. I cannot in good faith recommend this office or this provider to anybody. The quality of everything in this office is sub-par.Desired Settlement: I paid for product and services I have not received.$250 deposit, paid 6 mos ago when Dr B[redacted] told me the process would take about 2 months.It has taken THREE times as long&no resolution in sight. I will never get my 6 months back. I request that my eye exam fee be refunded, as well as my deposit & that they remove the false&misleading description of the products&services from VSP &other sites we, the patients, use.
