Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Hello, I would very much like to respond to the company's last response, as it was completely inappropriate and left out significant details that equated to improper business practices and violation of contractual obligationsDue to their conscious refusal to complete work, I was left paying an additional $to complete work from another vendor that the company was obligated to perform timely Can you please re-open my case so I can submit my response? Thank you - [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

There is/was no signed contractual agreement between our company and Mr.***Therefore, we must go through the insurance provider to be approved for any and all work completed at his propertyWhen then work was to be competed, it was discovered that there are no matching parts that the insurance would coverWe tried to find something but were unable toTherefore the insurance company gave Mr.*** a check so that he could find a company that would be able to modify his existing system to work with new parts that are on the market. Because we are contracted by the insurance and not by the H/O we are unable to sidestep them and work as we pleaseThis is mainly due to the fact that we would be paying for this work out of pocket without compensation. The $that Mr.*** spent to get his AC unit modified is because pricing through the insurance is less than that outside the insuranceNo matter what company came out to do the work, he would have had to pay that amount (probably more) to any company to install the coil. Because no matching coils would fit in the space provided, the insurance company was forced to cash the customer out and have him find a company that could modify and compete the workThere are no other options besides this. If there is anything else that is needed, please let me know. Thank you,***Metropolitan Heating and Air

For this work, we were contracted through American Home Shield to complete the work. When we arrived to Mr.[redacted]' house, we found the coil leaking water into the secondary drain pan. This was happening during a heavy heat spell. We asked Mr.[redacted] to please be patient as we were extremely busy...

and as long as his AC unit was working, it was fine to have everything running. He agreed and was very patient at the beginning.
After some time Mr.[redacted] contacted our office and stated that he needed the work completed. We explained that we are a small company and are trying to work hard on fixing AC units that are completely inoperable (we do a lot of work for the elderly). He stated that he needed his done anyways.
After a few more days, we scheduled an appointment to go out to the property to install the coil.
The original tech that was there had ordered a coil and when the next techs arrived, they noticed that the coil would not fit. Unfortunately there was nothing that could have been done since the space provided would not allow for any matching coils on the market to fit in the space provided.
Because this is an insurance job, we had to speak to American Home Shield to ask them to have the customer cash out or authorize us to replace the coil with a different kind of coil.
American Home Shield advised us that the customer would receive a cash out amount and would be able to do the work on his own through a different company.
The work order has now been closed and Mr.[redacted] has received a check from the insurance to have the work completed.
I truly do apologize to Mr.[redacted] for the poor experience with our company. I know it is much more difficult when there are kids involved as well.
All in all, Mr.[redacted] has received a cash out from American Home Shield and I am certain has had the work completed.  This job was made difficult because Mr. [redacted] was not our direct customer but was going through AHS and they were the middle man.

Hello,  I would very much like to respond to the company's last response, as it was completely inappropriate and left out significant details that equated to improper business practices and violation of contractual obligations. Due to their conscious refusal to complete work, I was left paying an additional $500 to complete work from another vendor that the company was obligated to perform timely. Can you please re-open my case so I can submit my response? Thank you. -[redacted]
