To whom it may concern

In this situation, a second amount was not offered. Perhaps this is a misunderstanding of my email in which I mentioned that we requested that a second revision be made. To the best of our knowledge, the insurance company revised the situation a second time, per our request, but they did not find sufficient reason to make a second offer. Unfortunately, as aforementioned, the jewelry is not covered by insurance policies for international household goods shipments.
Please let us know if there are further concerns that we may be able to address

Kind regards

Dear Ms [redacted]   Thank you for your email   It is strange to receive this email since we are a Mexican company and I believe that the Revdex.com serves American companies.   Nonetheless, the [redacted] family contracted our services in order...

to move from the US to the Dominican Republic. We subsequently contracted a company in the US to perform the origin services and a company in the Dominican Republic to perform the destination services.   Both of these companies are FIDI-FAIM and OMNI certified, which is the highest certification an international removals company can attain. The origin services were performed and the destination services were performed. Following the delivery services, we received a claim from Mrs [redacted]. She claimed the loss of jewelry. Our terms and conditions as well as the insurance broker's terms and conditions both state that jewelry cannot be insured and should not be included in the shipment. Please see our terms and conditions at mexpack.com. The relevant information is found at D.1.B. These terms and conditions were made aware to and accepted by the [redacted] family prior to commencing the service.   Nonetheless, we forwarded the claim to our insurance broker and, when they offered a lower amount than the [redacted] family had anticipated, we requested that the broker revise their estimate, which they did, to no avail. The insurance broker evaluates claims and in our experience responds fairly most of the time. From what I understand, the claim payment has not been accepted by the [redacted] family and we have reminded them that the payment should be accepted within a specific period of time.   Regarding claims of deceitful practices, we delivered the shipment within the window that we agreed and we did not forward any extra charges to the [redacted] family that were incurred later due to storage and container detentions at the port. Moreover, we did not charge them for a 300 USD round trip taxi ride from their residence to Santo Domingo, DR   We understand that Mr [redacted] and Mrs [redacted] are not happy with the service and we have passed these comments along to both the origin and destination companies with the hopes that future services will result in more satisfied customers   Kindly let me know if we can be of further service   Very best   [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:We were never contacted with a second amount. $1000 does NOT cover any of the damages to our belongings. Whether or not they are have hired certified people does not matter in this case. They lost, broke, stole some of our items and since we had purchased insurance to cover our belongings then our items that were lost, stolen, broken, should be paid for. Furthermore, it would not be wise of MexPack to have customer complaints nor any other deity involved in this matter. All we had asked for was a fair settlement and we did not get one. No one contacted us from the insurance regarding a second settlement. NO ONE. If this is the case, just give us back our insurance money that we paid to have our contents protected, because it obviously did no good to have it to begin with!!!!!! They are a scam operation and should be reported.

I am rejecting this response because:This has nothing to do with the jewelry. It has to do with ALL of the other items that were lost, broken, stolen. The amount now has nothing to do with the jewelry. The total amount included other items that were broken, missing, etc NOT just the jewelry. Subtract the jewelry out and it is still well over $5000 in damages. As I stated we BOUGHT INSURANCE FOR A REASON. MEXPAK has neglected their responsibility in providing money for items that were insured. We paid over $3000 for this insurance. MexPak is a farce and is irresponsible in their behavior. Just refund us the amount of the insurance we paid as we never should have paid it, since you are unwilling to pay for our items that were damaged and lost!!!!!!
