I am rejecting this response because: Mr [redacted] insisted that my daughter get a second estimate with the agreement that, regardless of what the estimate came out to, we would average the two and that is the amount he would pay This could have gone either way but happened to work in our favor At this point, Mr [redacted] paid the amount of the first estimate only I'm am convinced that had it gone the other way, he would have paid the lowest estimateIn theory, he owes me $although the air conditioner guy who contracted the job out to Meyer and happens to be a staindividual has paid the difference He didn't have to but he did because Meyer does shady business I would still like to collect the agreed upon amount from Meyer just to pay the other guy back

I paid the lady the estimate that was provided to me. She said that she would not send you a letter saying that I did soThanks, *** ***

what the estimate came out to, we would average the two and that is the amount he would pay.  This could have gone either way but happened to work in our favor.  At this point, Mr. [redacted] paid the amount of the first estimate only.  I'm am convinced that had it gone the other way, he would have paid the lowest estimate. In theory, he owes me $480.00 although the air conditioner guy who contracted the job out to Meyer and happens to be a stand-up individual has paid the difference.  He didn't have to but he did because Meyer does shady business.  I would still like to collect the agreed upon amount from Meyer just to pay the other guy back.

Review: My vehicle was hit by a Crane operated by Mr. [redacted] during installation of an Air Conditioner at [redacted] on or about 4/6/16. The damage was discovered two days later by my daughter, [redacted] who has the car in Redding while staying with her sister. [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] who came over the same day and admitted that my vehicle had been stuck by the crane. He also brought a friend to look at the damage and I was told that he could repair it up to 95% for $200.00. [redacted] stated she would get an estimate from a reputable company. Not surprisingly, the estimate was $1,463.49. Mr. [redacted] became uncooperative upon finding out how much the estimate was. I asked several times for his insurance information which he refused to give me. I was able to reach him on the phone to ask him what he wanted from me in order to keep insurance companies out of the picture. He wanted my daughter to get a second estimate. I asked him if she did this, whatever the second estimate was, would he agree to pay the averaged amount of the two estimates. He agreed to this and my employer listened on speaker as a witness. The second estimate is $2,497.46 which averages out to $1,980.00. He will still not give me his insurance information and will pay only the $1,463.49 rather than the agreed amount of $1,980.00. When my daughter spoke with him earlier today he stated "he had no insurance".Desired Settlement: I would expect Mr. [redacted] to uphold his end of the deal and pay the additional $517.00 as we agreed. Also, if Mr. [redacted] does not have insurance as he claims, I would think this should be looked in to as there is a high amount of liability involved with crane operation. If he does indeed have insurance, I would request a copy of the policy so that my insurance company can deal with it accordingly.
