This has been an ongoing issue for a couple of weeks nowWe started with the job knowing we had a little bit of concrete leveling to doleveling concrete is and will be a very messy projectWe wanted to plastic off the areas around the kitchen we were working in to contain the dustIn our contract it states that dust containment is only 90% effective and we will clean up anything that is leftWe did just thatCleaned up the messSometimes, it can happen that we miss a few spots [redacted] (General Contractor) and I told [redacted] and [redacted] that we could come over the very next day to take a look at the messNot "one week later." [redacted] got very defensive and refused us to come over to look before we pay people to clean his home for himHe never had to "live in a mess for a week." Because he refused this cleaning work, I am not willing to pay him extreme amounts.The "Extra" tiles was never discussed with me, everI never agreed to order extra for ***, he never asked Meyer SkidmoreWhen Meyer Skidmore got to the job, the materials were already there on the jobThe General Contractor bought them and dropped them offWe did not buy them or discuss anything about extraEvery contractor I have ever worked with always orders 10% extra for wasteNot extra to keepThere is no contract anywhere that states he wanted extra for himselfI told [redacted] that I was not comfortable paying for any of his meals outside of his own kitchen because it was totally usableThere was light weight painters plastic draped over the counter tops and cabinets, and we rolled it up every night to make sure he could use his kitchen until we returned the following morningExpecting to be paid $per hour to clean is insane [redacted] refused to let us come take care of it the following day ourselvesIt says in our contract that "we are not professional movers" and we are "not liable for damages"It also states "$per hour per guy will be charged for any moving." That was never billed to [redacted] or [redacted] They got that moving service for freeThis is an insurance claim jobThe family never paid a dime out of pocket for this jobMeyer Skidmore has an A+ Revdex.com rating and strive ourselves on our excellent work and customer serviceWe tried to solve this with ***, we offered him money in return, we offered cleaning, and a resolutionHe has refused unless we pay $and is going to ruin our reputation as an outstanding small company in the process is very upsetting to usThis was a tiny job that did not even cost his insurance company $total for the floor fix.Most of this has been dealt with ***, not Meyer Skidmore and CompanyWe feel that the only reason [redacted] is going after us all of a sudden is because [redacted] with [redacted] does not have an online presence and [redacted] cannot attack him at this timeI hope we can resolve this matter as soon as possible so that we do not have any bad marks on our Revdex.com rating or elsewhere
