January 20, 2016Complaint ID# ***Service call on12/03/requesting a repair on a front load washer leaking waterTechnician *** P*** (year experience) went out and found holes and tears in door boot sealPart was ordered at that timeReturned on 12/07/and removed old
leaking boot Installed new boot assembly then ran and leak checked washerNo leaks were found at this timeApproximately or days later customer called in and said that she had a leak at the door gasketTechnician return to home found gasket needed to be adjustedCorrection was made and washer was again leak tested and no leaks were foundCustomer was present and aware no leaks were foundApproximate another 3-days later customer called and said door gasket is leaking againTech went out and thoroughly checked door gasket finding a ball of hair caught in between the door and door gasket causing it to leakRemoved hair ball and washer did not leak, customer witness that washer was not leaking however she wanted the businesses owner to come over to house and observe the machine and check it for leaksI Stuart M*** co-owner came to house as requested and found washer working and not leakingCustomer then claimed washer would wash loads perfectly and then start leakingShe then wanted me to watch videos that she was going to create on her cell phone to prove washer was leakingShe didn't ask me to come back and see it personally just wanted me to accept her video as proof of a leakI then offered her a refund for the door gasket plus tax explaining that the labor charges were for the time spent on her behalfI feel this was more than fair as the washer never leaked in my or my techs presence except when there was hairball inI further feel that customer taking a video of a leak is not the same as seeing a leak with your own eyesFinally I have been in the appliance repair business years and have never seen a new door gasket hold water for loads of laundry without a leak and then start leakingThere either good or bad but not bothSincerely,Robert *** P*** TechStuart M***Co-OwnerMeyers Ref & ApplSer.P.SCustomer was allowed to keep new door gasket and get full refund of it plus the tax which she gladly accepted.Attention *** Please call me when you get this as per our phone conversationsThank YouStuart M*** ***
