Review: I hired [redacted] and [redacted] (M.G. Developments) To install aprox 1400 sq ft of engineered hardwood flooring as well as tile for 2 upstairs bathrooms. The job was sloppily done with short cuts and mistakes everywhere. There was also a lot of damage caused during the installation.I will start with the tile work in the bathrooms.1st of all, [redacted] did not install underlayment under the tile. The plywood floor was not smooth or level and really needed underlayment.He did not float or level either of the bathroom floors or the vanity area at all. The tiles are up and down and going all different directions. They creak when you walk on them. There are several that are chipped and cracked from the installation.Door trim was damaged during installation. The job was actually not ever finished as well as the wood flooring was not ever completed.Baseboards throughout the house were installed incorrectly and don,t line up. A lot of the calking work is terrible or not calked at all. He did not level any of the downstairs either and there are a lot of high and low spots everywhere.He installed planks that had chips in them from the factory. The floor if floating and it requires expansion gaps under the baseboards and thresholds are required at sliding glass doors and brick fireplaces. None of this was done. [redacted] and his helper tracked wax from the upstairs toilets as well as mortar from the tiles everywhere and ruined the stairs and a good portion of the floors. He used too big sized nails and ruined the bull nose trim for the stairs. He caused damage to sheet rock at all the stairs as well as a lot from taking out the baseboards too quickly. [redacted] gave me Orange Glo to clean my floors. As it turns out you can not use this product on the type of flooring he installed. It has ruined my finish and left a dull clouded look to it. There are incorrectly cut planks and stair boards everywhere. He did not even get trim to try and cover up his mistakes. This is just a quick overview of how bad this job went.!!!Desired Settlement: Ruben has refused to come and finish and repair this job. He won.t return calls or texts. At this point I would like a complete refund for materials and labor so I can have some one else do the work correctly.
