I Michael Gilbert, is responding to complaint filed about carpet job at [redacted] house Before carpet was ordered I informed gen contractor to not order less than 15' wide, being as all rooms are approx 13' wide so 12' will not work I told them with this carpet you will see seems a little They didn't and they wanted to move in So gen contractor got a 12' foot roll After carpet was almost done we waked through job with GC He said everything looked good but seem in living room Needed a little work So we schedule to come out next day That afternoon home owner called and said dont come back out So we stayed away I took pics of work all was OK Then we all meet to go over job and then I noticed carpet in living was manipulated One door pin was missing, but not sure coulda been missing already, home owner was rude and very much in attack mode made it really hard to talk to him Ive tried to resolve, but they keep bringing other people into it Hope we can resolve this.Michael Gilbert

I have reviewed his response to our complaint. I have text messages that when the carpet was laid till November 1st we tried to work with him to get our carpet done. He acts like we told him not to come back the day after the carpet was first laid. I told him not to send his worker *** back on September 13th because he was not getting the job done and he kept telling me that there is no more that he could do. I did not tell him that he was not welcome to come and fix it. He came to our house a total of times during this whole process, the day the carpet was laid, and twice to look at the damages that were done. He promised to fix the carpet, walls, and baseboards but he never did anything. I have text messages between me and him to prove all of this. MrGilbert and our General Contractor, *** ***, ###-###-#### had worked out a deal to fix the carpet but MrGilbert kept putting everything off. You can contact Mr*** so he can give you all of the details. Like I have said many times all we are asking for is that MrGilbert holds up to his promises and that we get our carpet fixed. He also said that we manipulated the carpet. I don't know why he believes that we put some of the tack stripes down backwards, put the wrong size staples in the stairwell carpet that are falling out and the carpet is coming undone, took a hammer and hit out own baseboards and drywall. I just don't understand his thinking. If he wants to resolve this then lets get it done just quite all the talking and blaming and get it done

That was a special order window, it took longer to get, but it has been installed
