Review: MHDM Services was referred to me through [redacted] (www.[redacted].com) for some painting work in my condo in the amount of $1450 not including paint which I will provide. The first contract on September 29th 2013 was for $700 to be complete within 5 days. We signed another contract for $750 on October 8th to paint the rest of my condo which is 848 Sq ft which will take 3 days. The first is not completed and the second has not even started. It has been back and forth with [redacted] not working on my condo. On Tuesday October 14th, I called [redacted] to ask him if he was done with both jobs since I started packing to move to the condo, he told me not to worry and to trust him that the job will be done on the week end. At that point I had already given [redacted] $1200. [redacted] went days without returning my calls and I had to have [redacted] involved. I had asked [redacted] to return the key to the condo and I did not hear from him so I called a locksmith to change the locks. [redacted] finally called me back but it was very difficult talking to him as he got angry and said we have a contract. I sent him a letter via email telling him he is in breach of contracts and outlining the reasons: The 1st job was to be complete withing 5 days and the second job was to be complete within 3 days, which was not done. He assured me he only provides quality work, which he didn't provide. I asked him for a refund of the first contract since the cabinets have to be completely redone. As a result of [redacted] not using a primer and prepping the cabinets, the paint is chipping off the cabinet doors and inside the cabinets. I also asked for a refund of the 2nd contract since he did not start the work. [redacted] refused to refund the money. I have contacted contractor with great references for an estimate and I am going to hire them to completely redo the work on the cabinets and also paint the rest of the condo.Desired Settlement: $1200 Amount paid for paint work which was poorly done plus the amount paid for work not started$196 for Locksmith changing the locks for the keys [redacted] did not return.
