Notes show that Mr [redacted] spoke with one of our agents on April 17th, 2017, the agent did a quote for Mr ***, but Mr [redacted] did NOT purchase anything We have no records of a completed application Notes show the agent called Mr [redacted] back on May 9th, twice, but no answer or return call from Mr *** Agents are available and we would love to help Mr [redacted] complete an application

agent response: On Friday Oct 7th 2016, Ms [redacted] was transferred to me after being pre-qualified I help individuals purchase various insurance products, from health to dental, vision, accident, critical illness and life insurance I am licensed to sell insurance in Georgia and over other states Most clients purchase health, dental, vision and supplemental insurance to help protect them physically and financially Ms ***’s complaint indicates financial trouble and desire to lower costs Insurance premiums are based off of household size and income, I input information as given by the customer Ms [redacted] can call healthcare.gov and work with customer service to show proof of lower income to get a lower payment.All supplemental products are separate from the health plan I was very clear with Ms [redacted] that the plans are all separate and independent from one another She can keep or cancel any plans at anytime by calling customer service Her complaint says that she called times, I have no record of those calls I check my emails and voicemails multiple times per day The last note I show is from her call on May 1st, which I promptly returned the same day I gave her the contact numbers to cancel her plans.Customer service is very important to the success of my business and I take it very seriously Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help, ***

At this time, we are not able to connect you to the payment portal to make your first payment Once we receive and process your enrollment information, which should be in the next hours, we will mail you your billing statement You can expect to receive your billing statement in 5-daysOnce you receive your bill, please pay by phone or on our website Until then, you do not have to do anythingIf you have any questions, you can always call us! On Tuesday Jan 12th, Ms *** was transferred to one of our agents after being pre-qualified as to her desire to purchase various insurance products We help customers with health, dental, vision, accident, hospitalization supplemental and life insuranceThe agent helped Ms
*** purchase health insurance and supplemental hospitalization insurance All products and costs were agreed upon by the agent and customer prior to purchase The complaint indicates that Ms *** cancelled her supplemental (and is now at risk of owning deductibles and coinsurance costs in the event of critical illness or major accident) and now has her remaining health insurance for approximately $

On Nov 30th, Ms *** was transfer to one of our licensed agent On all calls we offer health, dental, vision, supplemental accident and critical illness Notes indicate that Ms *** purchased supplemental insurance to help protect against owing a deductible The
Critical Illness Supplemental was in place in the event of major illness, like heart attack, stroke, cancer, and the Accident Expense coverage was in place in the event of major accident, Ms *** would have receive a lump sum benefit to help cover her deductible, co-insurance, medications, and other out of pocket expenses The supplemental plans have been canceled and monthly premium lowered accordingly

Notes show that on Dec 29th, 2016, Mr *** worked with one of our agents to complete his health, dental and supplemental insurance applications The health marketplace (healthcare.gov) will often ask for additional items from the customer, like proof of income or residency It is the
responsibility of the customer to provide any additional documents to healthcare.gov, we, the agents cannot control the customers ability or desire to provide these additional documents The complaint says the plan jumped from $to $951, which looks like Mr *** had a subsidy (discount) from the ACA, but did not show correct proof of income to protect the subsidy and the price went back up to the un-subsidized amount of $ This is not the fault of the agent or our company, we helped the customer do the applications with the information provided by Mr *** Notes also show that Mr *** has canceled his dental and supplemental insurance plans

resent We help with the application, but the customer must work with the insurance provider (in this case, ***) to get additional policy information, cards, billing, etc Please note that the agent in question, ***, is no longer with MHP Insurance due to a disability, thus the lack of returned calls

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.I never asked for supplemental insurance and was never sent an email confirming any insurance other than the one from blue cross, which is why I thought I was being scammedI then calIed repeatedly over the course of a week with no responseThat just made me feel even more sure I was scammed because what business would treat a person this way after getting their money? I am happy not to understand the problem, and I am sorry that it had to come to submitting a complaint for someone to actually care to take the time to help me and call backI am happy with my plan now, the way I have it now is the way I understood it to be because the only thing I asked for was an insurance plan as affordable as possible, nothing moreOther than not being called back and not being sent any other confirmation emails except for the blue cross policy, *** *** was very helpful and I am pleased now that I understand and have been called backI have never had to submit something like this to get a call back, and I'm sorry I had to do it- but I am very poor and I cannot spare money, especially when I cannot see where it is goingIt's just been a big misunderstanding all the way around and I'm glad it's over

On Wednesday July 13th, ** *** worked with one of our agents to complete her health, dental, and supplemental insurance applications Notes show a high deductible bronze health plan with Blue Cross Blue Shield of OK, and supplemental insurance / critical illness to help cover her
high deductible in the event of cancer, heart attack, stroke or other major critical illness The agent also helped her with a dental plan MHP does not receive any payments directly from customers, billing comes from the insurance providers With her family size and income, the Blue Cross plan was subsidized and payments were under $150, the $1,figure that ** *** is being asked to pay doesn't make sense given her situation In some cases applicants are asked to show "proof of income" to the marketplace, the requests are mailed to the address on the application If customers don't show proof of income or provide the requirements of the ACA Marketplace within days, they may lose subsidies and there monthly premium would go to the original un-subsidized cost

For legal reasons we cannot cancel plans for the customer, the customer must call the carriers directly.   Please contact Assurant (Time Insurance) directly to cancel and ask for a refund, [redacted].
