Review: On July **, 2013 I applied for the apartment ([redacted]) with the broker [redacted]. He made me give him $250 to hold the apartment. He told me he would know within 24-48 hours if I get approved and that I would get my money back if I don't get approved as well as if I get approved but decide against it. He never got back to me with any news so I got worried and texted and called him daily basically. On July ** he finally replied and told me someone else got the apartment. I asked how I would get my money back and he said he would get it to me in that week. Nothing happened. I tried to contact him for 2 weeks but he never picked up the phone or replied to my text messages. On Sunday August *, 2013 I decided to go to the house and try to find out who the management is. At the door I met [redacted]. He had a rough tone tried to pretend he would give the money back to me but didn't want to give it to me then still. I called the police and 3 officers took the report. They took down his information and told he he has to give me my money back by Monday, August *, 2013. He knew I wouldn't be in the city the next couple of days. Of course, I didn't get it back even though again I tried to call and text him. Last Friday, August *, again I called and texted to see what the problem was. He told me he would wire it to me via Quickpay (chase). I gave him my email address which is required for using quick pay. Of course nothing happened and my texts and calls kept being ignored. Today again I tried calling and texting him. He actually called me back to scream in the phone telling me I would get my money back when is schedule is free etc. The receipt he gave me and also the police officers told him though that he had to give me the money until Thursday, August * LATEST. He told me know I should take him to court which tells me he won't give me my money back. The officers told me to file a complaint here. (I'm sorry for the grammar mistakes, I'm from Germany).Desired Settlement: I want at least my $250 back.Interest would be appropriate, considering the fact he told me he would give it to me on July ** and keeps ignoring me for almost a month now.

Review: I inquired about an apartment posted on craigslist Nov. **, 2013. On Nov. ** I got a call from [redacted] to come view the apartment. He showed me an apartment that he said was $1200/mo. I submitted a $100 application fee with my application and all of the required documents needed to apply for the apartment. Once I was approved, I submitted the $1200 security deposit for the apartment. After he avoided me and lead me on for weeks he called to tell me that the apartment was no longer $1200 and that he raised the rent to $1500 so I requested my money to be refunded. Per the receipt I am entitled to a FULL REFUND. MIKIAS HAILE SELASSIE IS NOW AVOIDING ALL FORMS OF COMMUNICATION AND HAS TAKEN MY MONEY AND WILL NOT RETURN IT PER OUR AGREEMENT. HE MISREPRESENTED THE APARTMENT AND THE PRICE AND NOW HE HAS STOLEN FROM ME! HE IS AN AWFUL REALTOR AND PERSON. HE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. HE IS A CON-ARTIST AND SCAMMER! HE MAY NOT EVEN BE A LICENSED REALTOR. HE IS A LIAR AND A THIEF!Desired Settlement: I would like all of my money back ($1300)
