Of course MVS will always respond to the reviews in a defensive wayAccording to them, there is always an excuse and a reason why there are bad outcomes on their decisions They keep suggesting and "insisting" on doing "unnecessary" surgeries to out petsIt is obviously more lucrative to charge for s surgery than to send the dog home with some medication I do approve of surgeries to save pets lives, when they are in a critical EMERGENCY, but to operate for the sake of operating is absurdAfter they performed surgery on my Yorkie, to "supposedly" extend his life because he had a mass in his liver, but instead, he DIED, the Drasked me if I wanted the mass to be sent to a lab to find out what it wasReally? So, she did surgery to remove a mass she did not know what it was? Isn't that done before surgery to determine whether is malign or benign? My dog, my "baby" was "sacrificed" I cannot get over this, and I do not think it is fair that this continues to go on at MVS! They basically killed my dog! Plain and simple

We took our Yorkie to MVS for Diarrhea The Doctors suggested to do an abdominal CT Scan to further study a mass he had in his liver So it was recommended to us to have this mass removed surgicallyThey said that there was minimal risk, that his heart was good, that his blood test showed he was heathy and they were very confident that this operation will increase his life span for approximately yearsThey even said that they would rather leave a little bit of mass, than to cut a blood vessel to avoid blood transfusion When I take my pets to MVS I fully trust the professionals' opinions and so I agreed to this procedure I had to leave him there from the day before (which broke my heart) During the operation, the mass was removed, but a blood vessel was cut and so he lost a lot of blood and had to have blood transfusionHe did not respond to this well, his heart stopped, he went into cardiac arrest, CPR was applied to him, etc, etcbut at the end he passed away My advice to all of you considering surgery is that if it is not an immediate emergency, do your research, ask other doctors and find out more about the surgeon that will be performing the surgeryThe doctor that performed Sketch's operation is, a young, recent graduate (2011) and finished residency in (2013)I was promised more life for him, and instead, I lost him in an instantIt was not their intention, but years of experience make a difference! Two years is too soon to be operating! I do not, yet understand why the rush to do this surgery so fast, instead of giving us time to think about it...maybe they had a quota to fulfillHe was NOT in pain, he was NOT sick, and it was NOT an emergency! I will never forget his eyes looking at me when I handed him to the Doctor that was to assist the surgeonI never saw him again!

We took our Yorkie to MVS for Diarrhea. The Doctors suggested to do an abdominal CT Scan to further study a mass he had in his liver. So it was recommended to us to have this mass removed surgically. They said that there was minimal risk, that his heart was good, that his blood test showed he was heathy and they were very confident that this operation will increase his life span for approximately 2 years. They even said that they would rather leave a little bit of mass, than to cut a blood vessel to avoid blood transfusion. When I take my pets to MVS I fully trust the professionals' opinions and so I agreed to this procedure. I had to leave him there from the day before (which broke my heart). During the operation, the mass was removed, but a blood vessel was cut and so he lost a lot of blood and had to have blood transfusion. He did not respond to this well, his heart stopped, he went into cardiac arrest, CPR was applied to him, etc, etc... but at the end he passed away.
My advice to all of you considering surgery is that if it is not an immediate emergency, do your research, ask other doctors and find out more about the surgeon that will be performing the surgery. The doctor that performed Sketch's operation is, a young, recent graduate (2011) and finished residency in (2013). I was promised more life for him, and instead, I lost him in an instant. I will never forget his eyes looking at me when I handed him to the Doctor that was to assist the surgeon. I never saw him again!
