I had 2 roof installed by Burke Construction. After 7 years I am having shingles fly of the roof. I had a contractor estimate the damage and he told me, after looking at the shingles on the ground, that they were installed wrong. On every shingle there is a nailing line. This line was not used as the nail line and the reinforcement strip on the shingle was not engaged. I contacted Mr. Burke six times and he has not made any attempt to repair the missing shingles. The warranty on the shingles itself (20 years) is void as they were not installed properly. At this time I am claiming poor workmanship and no customer service.

We hired MBC to replace the roof on our house. After getting over a dozen quotes, MBC was the most competitive and the finished job is outstanding. Great owner and great crew. I would definitely hire MBC again in the future.

HI I HIRED THIS COMANY TO INSTALL A NEW ROOF WELL AFTER THEY DID IT. IT LEAKED AND THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT THE FLASHING JOB WAS DONR VERY BADLY I CUT OPEN THE CEILING UPSTAIRS TO SEE IT LEEK AND IT DOES ALL I WANT IS TO FIX IT WRIGHT WITH NO LEAKS BUT I WANT TO GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT AND HEVE THE COMPANY THAT DID IT PAY FOR IT THATS ALL
In November of 2018 we received a call from Mr. thathe would like a roof quote as his roof was leaking especially around his chimney.Mr *** hired us to do his roof and re-flash his chimney in December of 2018.We started and completed the roofing and flashing around the chimney onDecember 3rd 2018.The end of January we received a call from Mr. that his chimney wasleaking again, I told him I would send my guys out again to check the flashing.A couple of days later my guys went and checked his flashing and they statedthe flashing was installed properly and the fault was the shape of the chimneyand mortar, there was broken bricks and missing mortar in several spots.I also went out a couple of days later and verified that the chimney was shot,I also took pictures.The chimney was in very bad shape and needed to be repointed by a mason.I explained that my guys had done some caulking to buy him time but hereally needed to have a mason repoint the chimney for a long term solution.On December 9th, over a year later, I received a call from Mr. stating hischimney was leaking again.I asked him if he had it repointed, he stated no he had it caulked again.I told him that he should have had his chimney repointed as I had recommendedand that caulking would never work long term.He demanded we fix his chimney and I stated we are not masons and we did notquote to repoint his chimney.

3 different people went out to look at our flashing job and determinedit was done correctly.Also when we first caulked the bad mortar joints after looking at the flashing for Mr. he didnot make any complaints for over a year about leaks.The problem is the bad chimney with broken bricks and missing mortar.As I stated in our original response we took pictures and can prove it.

Michael Burke Construction recently replaced the roof of our small beach cottage. His crew was friendly, fast working, and very neat in terms of clean up. His pricing was also very competitive across a number of quotes we received. All around solid experience with Michael and will definitely consider him for future work!

We had our roof done by Michael Burke Construction of Duxbury about 2 weeks ago and we can’t say enough about this company! Professional job by a crew that started early and finished by the late afternoon! Completely cleaned around the property and driveway! I recommend them to my elderly neighbor and she had her roof done also, with the same results! Thank you again, Michael Burke! I’ll keep recommending your company!

We have used Michael Burke Construction on several occasions and will use them again if ever I have the need! Michael is honest, dependable, and fair! He stands behind his work and is by far the easiest contractor I have ever worked with! He has come to our rescue on several occasions when our house on the beach needed quick attention due to winter storms or when we had broken pipes. He did a renovation on a house we own, built in the early 1900's, which had serious structural issues. He was both creative and smart in his approach to this project. I highly recommend Michael Burke Construction without hesitation and look forward to working with him again in the future!
