Review: MC Flooring LLC (affiliated flooring installer with the [redacted] Company) was contracted to install approx. 1000 sq. ft. of new Bamboo flooring at my newly purchased home. Mr. Carney the owner, measured the area for the installation and wrote up the material list and associated costs for the work. His assigned crew arrived late on the all three days of the installation (1/7,8,9/15 - weather), they were traveling from Youngstown to the job site. With no concerns noted by the crew, they completed their work and departed the work site. The crew neglected to clean up any area of the installation or preparation prior to departing the work site, after seeing the workmanship the following morning the reason for not cleaning up was all too apparent. The installation was so poor that we had to mark all the scratches, nicks, bulges, gaps, gouges, and all around sub par work that they literally numbered over 100 issues. Mr. Carney chose not to be present at anytime during the install, and was reluctant (initially) to respond to calls. Once he did return to the site, he instantly began to attempt to cover up some of the items of concern with his tools of the trade (color match crayons) but it wasn't long before even he stated it was more damage than he believed it would be. But he was sure it would be reparable (and still after 2 months, it's still MC Flooring's position). Mr. Carney admitted that the items of concern were due to poor installation procedures (nail gun pressure, face nailing, etc.), yet he wants to replace 25% of the total flooring material and wants us to believe that the remainder of the install was done properly. Certified Hardwood Flooring Inspectors and other local flooring installers cite the installation of the product to be the root cause of the issues stated. MC Floors, The [redacted], and [redacted] have done nothing more than stall for time rather than take decisive action regarding this matter, so much for customer service.Desired Settlement: we are looking to have or money refunded for all of our flooring that was purchased and all product ruined by the MC Flooring installers (approx. 1000 sq. ft.), plus the expense of having to remove all the flooring in order to purchase and have new flooring installed ($2.00-$2.25 per sq. ft.). Not sure about how to address the wasted time (2+ MONTHS not able to move in without installed flooring)????
