Michael Development

I am a resident with Centennial Commons in Roseville (Michael Development corporation is who they are owned by) and I have had numerous problems with the maintenance and management since I moved inWhen I called to get a tour they told me I couldn't see the apartment I was actually moving into-Red flag #The apartment I toured vs the actual apartment I got was anything but "an exact replica"-definitely not as updated or niceOnce I moved in a LOT of problems started occurring
-I couldn't actually move in on the day they told me my apartment would be ready-I came to my apartment with all of my stuff to find two random (and rude) workers tearing up my sinkWhen I went back a day later than my anticipated modate to actually move in, they had left my kitchen a messI called management and they're excuse: "Once you are a resident we can't enter the apartment anymore and those were contracted workers so it isn't our fault"This should have absolutely been taken care of AHEA

I moved out of my apartment back in July, prior to my scheduled move out dateAt the time I handed my apartment keys over to the management at Blackberry Pointe Apartments they informed me that they would be doing the final walk through on their own and sending me my deposit once everything was completeSeeing as how I was leaving prior to my move out date and still had time to fix anything, I left them with my contact information and the staff member agreed to call if there were any issues with the walk throughI had cleaned the apartment thoroughly and assumed that all was well when my deposit came in the mail three weeks laterUpon opening up my deposit, I realized that money was taken out for carpet cleaning and an unpaid balanceI contacted the apartment building and was instructed to reach out to Michael Development, as they handle all the billing and chargesI informed them of my concerns to which they sent over two invoices, one for my rent and one for the carpet cleaningLooking over the invoice for the rent payments, I realized their math was incorrect and they overcharged meIt took over a month for John *** at Michael Development to understand this mistake and he finally stated that he would send out a check to make up for the incorrect chargeThe carpet cleaning invoice was itself a surprise as the carpets were clean, but there was additional charge for the stain on the carpetWere there a stain, I would have expected a call from Blackberry Pointe ApartmentsEither I was incorrectly charged, or the staff failed to notify me despite them saying they wouldI brought this up to John *** in an email along with my concern about the incorrect charge on the rent statementNot only did he not acknowledge my issue with the carpet cleaning but when I brought it up a second time he ignored me altogether and did not respondRather than address my concerns and acknowledge that a mistake in judgement was made, John *** chose to sweep the issue aside without resolutionGiven the length of time I have been dealing with this unresolved issue and the unprofessionalism with which John *** dealt with my concerns, I would strongly discourage anyone from renting from Michael Development
