Review: Contracted Michael Farkas & Sons, back in Oct. of 2010 to install a permanent foundation for a manufactured home. Selling the home at [redacted], early this year 2014. We needed a structural engineer's report, in order to sell home. The engineer's report indicated that ..."several piers have the bottom course with the cells horizontal, and tie-down anchors were not installed correctly". It also stated..."permanent foundation is not in compliance with the requirements as outlined in: HUD'S permanent foundation guide for manufactured homes dated September 1996(Hud Publication 7584). I attempted to contact business several times, leaving messages, to no avail.

I had to hirer another contractor to correct problems, before we could go to settlement. Cost to correct problems was $400.Desired Settlement: I would like to have Michael Farkas & Sons, reimburse me for the $400. I had to pay the second contractor to reinstall piers and tie-down anchors correctly.

Review: This was concrete work that was done, however, it was not finished, but paid in full. Mike has been stringing me on and on and has never finished the project. There are also cracks that need to be fix as well as other things.Desired Settlement: It will probably cost me 1,500-2,000 to fix and finish the project.
